Cozy, relaxed and nice ambiance. Were here for lunch, very limited lunch menu but between us we had a burger, a salad and a pita, all were excellent.

Charming little spot near The Pulitzer Hotel. Friendly service. Romantic. Food ranged from delicious to THE toughest rib eye steak we had ever encountered. Stick with the local foods and you will be very pleased. Would definitely return.

We just trawled the streets of Amsterdam looking for a last minute meal after a disastrous day of travelling. Happened across Venus & Adonis by chance and are so glad we did. Everything from the service to the food to the venue itself was perfect...More

Even though we waited over an hour for the starters to arrive, they were worth waiting for. The Crab Cake was hot and tasty, the Steak Tartare delicately seasoned. Both the Sirloin & Fillet Steak were cooked as requested. The Steak Fries though, were fried...More

Stopped here earlier in week for lunch, food was excellent, very good service and excellent gin and tonics. Liked it so much, we went back 2 days later for lunch. Great lamb burgers, salads and soups and of course frites!

My husband and I went there for dinner. It took an hour to order cocktails and get a menu. Our drinks were so watery we retuned them, the bartender was rather ungracious but agreed to make another set. We were served our dinner around 9:00...More

My wife and I went here for supper. The place was very cosy and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and attentive. They gave us the best seats in the house overlooking the canal. I had the Adonis steak which was cooked to perfection with...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
