The title doesn't mean what it usually does in Amsterdam. This small business just outside the bustle of the Red Light District seems great coffee and vinyl. The shop hosts exhibitions and a place to browse. Even with some toys for small kids at the...More

I’d been looking for fantastic coffee in Amsterdam and I finally struck gold here at this cafe. It’s not a “Coffeeshop” their focus is coffee and records. Both the concept and the coffee is fantastic. Great music (not too loud) and fantastic atmosphere.

The most inhospitable place ever - the owner (or manager, don’t know exactly who it was) kicked us out with the words ‘f*** out of there’ because it was closing time and there was a lot of people celebrating first day of World of Coffee...More

Great coffee. Loved the vibe here. It was my first visit to Amsterdam, but I love discovering the world one coffee at a time. This one made it for me. Highly recommend for the coffee snob

The coffee here is excellent. It’s off the main strip so not filled with tourists. The space is cosy and you can browse for records.

Chillest of joints. They're on point with the music, on point with the coffee. I had the aeropress with Nicaraguan beans; precisely what my taste buds were craving. Even as it became cold it remained delicious. My friends have gone back and spoken highly of...More

After a few times in Amsterdam, that's the first time I tried a good coffee. Service is really great. The coffee is small, far from tourists and very authentic. Got a vintage look to it, and hip hop jazz music playing nicely. Definitely would come...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Yes and very strict too. Our bouncer checks at the door. We won't tell in advance what the code of the day is though.

Black Gold Amsterdam is an independent vinyl and specialty coffee shop. We’re passionate about great quality coffee, connecting people and inspiring them through music. Into funk, afrobeat, 90s hip hop, jazz fusion or electronica? We sell a curated selection of classics and new releases. Serious about coffee? Ours comes from local coffee legends White Label Coffee roasters. We also sell single origin coffee beans and equipment for brewing your own cup of coffee. We are a family-owned place and our business philosophy is sustainable and fair. This guides us from our choice of coffee beans to the rest of our menu. Black Gold creates space for small in-store concerts, dj sessions and art exhibits. Stop by any day of the week or contact us!
