I had an amazing catalan foody experience there. The dishes are fabulous! You can feel as you are in Barcelona. The prices are very good for being in Amsterdan and the staff is very kind and catalán! I will come back, I am sure!

I am Catalan and I was visiting Amsterdam with my little daughter today. I was looking for a nice place to have dinner and I ended in Taverna Barcelona. Carlos and Fran, who run the place are super super kind, friendly and peaceful. The food was super great. As a Catalan I can say it was such a surprise! Highly... More

I had a Thursday dinner with my friend. It was hard to decide if we want a full meal or just tapas, so we ordered a set of tapas. Food was delicious and wine as well. Quite pricey for a small place like this. Of course, is just around the corner from Pijp but still... The waiter and the chef... More

Very happy to find such an authentic place with great food, nice atmosphere and nice waiters. I recommend, especially in the evening in terrace where you can enjoy the area. Victor

The food is phenomenal! The range of tapas is delicious, and the restaurant is lovely and romantic environment. There are a wide range of drinks available and service is excellent. An absolute must for food fans!

We were strolling past here about 11.30pm one evening and fancied a nightcap and a snack. The host was charming but he soon became very run down with a table of 8 around the corner. The service was very slow therefore as the only other chap was busy in the open kitchen. I had a Catalan Omelette which was mediocre.... More

This is a great place if you'd like to enjoy original catalan tapas and really good beer. It's a really small restaurant, where everything is handmade, the ingredients are fresh and all the food is made daily. The owners are the most friendly people ever. And the atmosphere os really relaxed. If you love aioli you should take a visit!... More

The tapas are delicious and interesting. This is a small restaurant and is run by two people, the cook and the server. We went early on a Thursday and had no trouble getting a table.

The tapas were very good and quite reasonably priced. We had salad, fried fish balls, cheese, tomato toast, baked chorizo and eggs, and other little dishes which were all very good. We also had a fantastic red wine which was quite strong but extremely good. Service was friendly, and inside, everyone was glued to a football match on TV. The... More
