4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2016

We just arrived to our apartment after a long travel day and decided to walk around to get dinner. Ended up raining so we went inside this restaurant. The service was bad but I think they were overwhelmed with the amount of people that came in due to the rain. However, the food was amazing! We ended up coming back... More

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2015

A big group of about 14 people accidentally visited this place while in the area. We didn’t regret our decision. The environment was really friendly; the food was good and cheap. The service was good, considering the big group that we were and the other costumers in the restaurant. All in all, a satisfying experience!

We ordered pizzas, steaks and lamb chops. We had to wait a while but the dishes were served fresh and tasted good. The place was nice and quiet.

Very good lasagna. Good of taste, temperature and quantity. Free bread, butter and olives from the house as starter. Good choice!

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2013

A group of 4 of us from Ireland enjoyed this restaurant. It was a 2 minute walk from our apartment so it was convienent for us. There were no menus in English but the waiter was more than willing to explain the dishes. The house white wine was quite nice. We got 2 pizzas, a calzone and a pasta dish.... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
