We went there for breakfast and the food is great. Service is also great and very nice. Nice bright interior and it is good that you can also choose to sit outside.

Visited Kessens on a recent visit to Amsterdam. It's located close to Westerkerk & Anne Frank house. We chose the menu option which included freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, croissant, toast and cheese. All were fresh and delicious.

We ate here twice, one breakfast and one lunch. The food is all freshly prepared and the smallish menu manages to include Dutch specialities with other dishes. Everything we had was delicious but special mention to the veal ragout and welsh rarebit. Service is friendly...More

friendly service and a lovely cafe. The food was exceptional. I would have breakfast here everyday if I could. You can sit out in the sunshine and just watch the world go by. I recommend their fresh juices, fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and granola...More

Kessens has a Swedish flavor to it with a nice selection. I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on the side. It has a lovely atmosphere and it appears that lots of locals patronize it.

Great food, very relaxed and accommodated gluten free well! Non gluten free desserts also went down very well, especially Lemon Meringue Pie.

It is great place to have lunch or just coffee or tea with great pastries close to Anne Frank House and Westertoren. And already going for three years the momentum is such now that you have to make reservations to get a tabel for lunch!...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
