beautiful place with many restaurants, everything looks delicious but all the dishes we are were disappointing and small and on top of that the price is very high - about 7-9 euro for a dish.

Following recommendation we visited Foodhallen. Place has a lot to offer! Different cuisines, different dishes it is really hard to chose and you would probably want to eat it all so better come in very hungry mood :-) it is MUST on Amsterdam list !

This foodie hall reminds me of the Paper Island in Copenhagen with the varieties of the food from different countries. Quite a few beer bars too. Pretty good place to come for a drink and a snack, and soak up the atmosphere and people watch.

Very reasonable 3-4 euros a beer and food ranges from 5-10 euros depending on what you choose.

I was there till 22:30 on a weekday, none of the places showed any urge of closing

No, we found many of them were already packing up or had closed before 10 You could still get a drink though.
