In 1988 I lived next door and eating here was a treat. After almost 30 years little has changed (maybe the chairs). Food is still very good and the service very friendly. If you are looking for traditional high end French food this is the...More

The writer Bordewijk was famous for choosing weird names. The cook prepares food with unusual ingredients. Always tasty! And an especially great cheese selection.

It was our first time in Amsterdam and the reception staff at the hotel suggested we take a walk around Jordaan to find a restaurant. They said some of the restaurants are so small they don’t take reservations and it was a windy and cold...More

If you look for good French food in Amsterdam this is certainly a good place to visit (better make a reservation). The have a good menu and a changing day-menu with 3, 4 or 5 courses. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly.

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two

through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
