This place is quite small (which makes it very homely & relaxing on the inside) and gets very busy - you should definitely make a reservation for a weekend meal. They offer a few traditional Dutch dishes; I had the mash mixed with kale and...More

What a wonderful find. We were looking for something typically Dutch and could not have found anywhere better. The Pantry is a wonderfully small, cozy and relaxed restaurant serving traditional Dutch food. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and made you...More

We booked one day in advanced. Otherwise you probably need to wait at least 2hours or after 9.30pm or 10pm. The owners are fun, happy, welcoming and friendly. The food are tasty and worth the wait. We ordered set stewedbeef are great

Located in the heart of the city a short walk from many tourist attractions the convenient location belies the quality of the food served within. Being from Scotland we naturally gravitated towards the deep fried Bitterballen, a traditional Dutch snack served with beer. They were...More

Enjoyed a lovely dinner and cannot wait to do it again. Service was excellent with a very friendly waiter that was helpful in explaining the different dishes on the menu. The restaurant was reminiscent of a Southern Grandma’s dinning room from the early 1900’s; quaint,...More

We’re staying at the Marriott in Amsterdam and this was just a short walk. Based on TA recommendations we wanted to give it a try. Glad we did. It’s a small, intimate restaurant with inviting decor but only a few tables. Staff was very friendly...More

Hi there. Simply emailed and replied the next day. Our booking was made roughly a week in advance but I believe they had bookings available for the following night when we were there. So a few days would be a good bet. Hope... More

Yes, you need a reservation. The restaurant is very small. I can't recall the pricing, but don't remember being shocked or thinking it was outrageous (I'm used to Seattle-area dining prices if that helps, where paying $20 to... More

The Pantry Imagine a restaurant version of the successful TV show I Love Holland, and that is what The Pantry is like. This cosy restaurant near the Leidseplein distinguishes itself with its typically Dutch atmosphere and traditional old-Dutch dishes. Hospitality is important. The staff understands the dining and hospitality business and have worked here for years, during which the recognition of this restaurant has been ever increasing. The Dutch living room atmosphere is enhanced by the use of lampshades, Delftware and old paintings on the wall, complemented by the background music. The Pantry works exclusively with fresh, homemade products. Its location in the Leidseplein neighbourhood makes this an ideal restaurant to eat before catching a theatre show or movie. The doors open from eleven in the morning, so it's also a great place to go for lunch
