The food here is absolutely incredible. The burgers myself and my friend ate were really really tasty, the bacon was well cooked and a lovely flavour and the buns were great quality. The chips were also delicious! Unfortunately, they brought us over flat Pepsi Max,...More

We had the pork fillet and sirloin steak both cooked perfectly. The chips on the side are delicious as well! Reasonably priced for the food. We will come back next time we're in amsterdam!

I thought the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. My wife and I stayed in the hotel upstairs for 5 nights. With all the restaurants in the immediate area, we had no intention of eating 'hotel food' during our...More

We had a fantastic meal on Saturday night, fab service and lovely food. So much so we booked to return on Sunday evening. Unfortunately they were not as good on Sunday but still a good meal. We will return next time we visit Amsterdam.

We fancied steak for dinner and wandered past a few restaurants and found this gem. Very cosmopolitan, but welcoming if that makes sense. I had the mixed bread starter and my husband had the Argentinian sausages - just wow! For main I had lobster and...More

Description
Rain bar, restaurant and club in Amsterdam’s most active café-and-nightlife neighborhood has been hot, hot, hot ever since it opened in 2005. Everything about it gets rave reviews: the menu, the bar, the club, the restaurant and the terrace, oh, and the genuine friendliness of the staff. Décor is tastefully modern with dark wood, leather seating, lilac and violet touches. The ground floor bar and Comfortable Dining Area morph into a club around eleven or so (weekend closing is 4am). The upstairs dining room is also tastefully modern. The truly inventive food is global fusion, like starter of pressing of wild duck and seasonal mushrooms with winter plum and chilli compote, crisp duck salad, foie gras lollipop and balsamic syrup, seemingly-simple main of burger becomes a Wagyu burger (birth certificate available on request) on hazelnut brioche with onion confit, sautéed foie gras, fried duck egg, hand cut chips and home made ketchup. Everything is made fresh here, from the bread to the famous ice creams. Up to 250 can take over the venue. There are three daily changing menus, 4- and 6-course tasting menus and an 8-course gourmet menu. Rain’s philosophy includes delight, refreshment and inspiration, and the hip, affluent crowd who gathers here seems to agree.
