De Silveren Spiegel is one of Europe’s most charming restaurants! The historic building transported us back in time, and the interior sparkled with candles, polished silver snd starched linens. The staff was both polished and friendly, making us feel instantly welcomed. We ordered the 7-course...tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was stunningly presented and exquisitely prepared. Each dish was a gem. The wines showcased an impressive variety of European vintages. It was a truly magical evening.More

Absolutely delicious. Flavour bursting in my mouth from the initial dish until the end. Langoustine start w amazing flavours. Vegetable starter was delicious also. Mussels amazing and amazing presentation. Beef entree spectacular. And the dessert (and pre dessert taco sweet dessert) were awesome. This restaurant...should be No 1. The chef is talented. The service was excellent. Star. Star. Star.More

Excellent dinner and location - a more quiet part of a bustling city. We did a dinner for two outdoors. It rained out of nowhere (Amsterdam weather for you!) and the staff were quick to move us inside with a positive attitude despite the sudden...downpour! We had the six course menu - highlights for me were the mussels with champagne sauce and the raspberry dessert! The food was excellent but the service is what made this place extra special! Hoping to visit again for more!More

My partner and I visited this restaurant for lunch after arriving from London as we couldn’t get a dinner reservation. They were fully booked. We now know why and begs us to ask the question… WHY HAS THIS RESTAURANT NOT BEEN GIVEN A MICHELIN STAR?!...The food was exquisite and the service was impeccable. This is a family run restaurant and the front of house owner greets all diners individually and is on the ground. Each course is presented and described immaculately. His son is the chef who labours over the food with love. All ingredients are from The Netherlands and also locally sourced. I have never tasted peas that tasters so fresh. The Langoustine was delicious. I could go on and on. The staff have worked with them for years and we can see why. We are regular Michelin diners and we know what to expect. Later that evening we had dinner at The White Room. Let’s just say that we felt the lunch experience was far superior and better. No offence to the White Room but De Silveren Spiegel left a lasting impression. Inspectors please revisit as they throughly deserve a Michelin star! Even before you taste the food the building and it’s interiors are a history lesson in itself. One of the oldest buildings in Amsterdam. We will absolutely dine there again on our next visit to Amsterdam.More

We had reservations and were seated on time. Upscale and classy. My wife and I each got a multi-course entrée, one with seafood and the other with beef. We paired these with wine selected for us. Very professional service.More

Surprised my girlfriend with a birthday trip to Amsterdam and De Silveren Spiegel. The front of house staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they even brought out a birthday sparkler to help make the evening extra special! The food was incredible...too! It wasn’t pretentious but just focused on fantastic produce cooked to perfection. We went for the 8 course menu and it was hard to pick a favourite dish because they were all so amazing! Thank you for everything 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟More

It is a formal restaurant however smart casual is appropriate. Dress up if you want, many others do but do not rock up in sportswear. It doesn't suit the restaurant or the service, the waiters are smartly dressed in suits.
