Really unique Italian deli at a corner with nice atmosphere and really great quality food. Lamb sandwich, cannoli and Italian craft beer made my day!

This place is a bit hidden. We only found it because our hotel was at the same street. We were always seeing local people eating there, so we decided to try it. It was very good! There aren't many choices, but the Italian food there was excellent. We took it home, so I'm not sure if they heat it up... More

The sandwiches were very tasty with Italian fillings, however portions were quite small. Service was a little slow and it was also quite confusing when entering the shop with several counters, one for the sandwiches and one for the deli. No one really greeted us and we were left wondering where we were meant to wait and who to give... More

Renzo's used to be a great neighborhood option, but the prices have become unrealistic and unfair for what they are offering. 14 Euro for a plate of microwaved vegetables? This is a delicatessen with limited service, not a restaurant, and prices should reflect this. A real pity.

This restaurant was a crowd pleaser - we paid 22 euro to feed 3 people, 2 sandwiches + a hot plate of pastas + wine + waters. You really can't beat that, especially so close to the museums. We loved the food here and the friendly staff. What a great recommendation from a friend living here - we only wished... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
