This place had been really busy every time we passed so we weren't able to get a table over the canal, but inside was just as good. Another olde worlde bar with years of smoke stained ceiling and old brass bar fittings. Very friendly and...More

It's hard to beat drinks by the canal especially this little spot! Fab place to watch the world and boats go by. The young lad that served us was an absolute delight, so polite and friendly. Great end to a lovely weekend.

We loved this cute little pub on Egelantiersgracht in Jordan. After a full day of sightseeing we were looking for somewhere to refuel for an hour before dinner. Found this by accident and went inside for drinks. Lovely old wooden bar inside. The next day...More

What a beautiful old bar! This place dates to 1786 and has fantastic ambiance. Leaded glass windows, tiled floors, wood paneling, it’s small and bustling. Not a place to go if you’re in a hurry. The wait staff is running, but they can’t keep up....More

We accidentally stumbled across this canal-side café for pre-dinner drinks on our first day in Amsterdam and spent the rest of our trip trying to find an open table here. Small outside seating area that almost makes you feel like you're floating in the canal...More

We visited this cafe as a group of six for lunch. There was no space outside so we asked if there was a table inside. We were guided upstairs (so the staff knew we were there). We then waited about 20 mins but know one...More

On the borders of Jordaan ,this cafe offers tables next to the river .Their poffertjes are very tasty and different from the original in a good way.The assistance is very friendly.

This little place has one of the best locations. They have a little terrace just by the canal. The staff is very friendly and well trained, although the place is very busy making it difficult for the staff to keep up the great work, making...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.

We were travelling Canadians eating at this restaurant. You would need to contact them to ask if they are open.

I would definitely go direct to the restaurant. Many places have set their small evening menus by early afternoon and you can call and set time --or stop in on an afternoon stroll to set a time later that evening.
