Found here while looking for a reasonable priced Chinese meal. Was not disappointed. Food was well priced and tasted great. Only criticism spring rolls were not much bigger than the mini spring rolls, still tasted good though. Ginger tea to finish was really good.

Food was terrible and the restaurant was understaffed. The chicken was spungey and not crispy at all

We popped into this restaurant while we were in the city centre. The menu looked good. It is a really nice restaurant. Service was good and fast. Friendly too. The food was tasty and filling. The prices are reasonable and the location is great. I would definitely recommend it.

This is simple, tasty food place, so deserves such review. Great sweet and sour chicken soup, good size for cca. 11 Eur and good location close to Dam square, tourist could not ask for more. But if I was on a look for a great great soup, I would say I had better thus 4 stars. Recommended.

I am sure there are better restaurants in Amsterdam, Chinese even like the FuLu Mandarijn around the corner on Rokin BUT the service at Dragon City is very friendly and the food is excellent value. It is great to find a restaurant in such a touristy area that provides fresh tasty food at such value. Whilst the kids loved the... More

There were quite a few Chinese people eating in here which is always a good sign. The prawn toast was exceptionally good. We opted for the tourist menu to keep the cost down as everything in Amsterdam restaurants is so darn expensive. The food was good enough although I suspect if we had splashed out and stayed off the tourist... More

Okey, so me and my friend went to this restaurant because we did not know what kind of food to eat. We were welcomed and placed in the front, kind of could but she did it to attract customers so it was fine, we let her do it (and it really became successfull i tell ya) I chose the tourist... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
