Stopped by De Koffie Salon during a recent visit to Amsterdam and enjoyed a very good double espresso and fig waffle. This coffee shop has 6 branches around the city including this modern and slightly chic branch on Utrechtsestraat near Spuiplein and the Amsterdam Museum. Opening Hours are 7am to 7pm daily. I found the coffee to be bold and... More

It is my favourite coffee chain in Amsterdam, with the emphasis on the "coffee chain". Their poppy seed cookie(pie) is my favourite, and the only place to get such in the Netherlands. Their juices are freshly made, and of a good quality. The other spots do have a free wifi connection(Spuistraat for example). Despite the fact they're a chain I... More

This coffee salon is in one of the nicest streets in Amsterdam, the Utrechtsestraat. The service is very nice, the atmosphere very cosy with good music. Take a latte macchiato, a croissant and a newspaper to start the day.

Were strolling along and struck by the stain-glassed windows and style of the place so went in for a coffee. Quick service, nice coffee and a good fresh and tasty croissant. Really interesting place to observe.

How the mighty are fallen. Used to live close by and pop in occasionally. It was a bit special. Now it's cold, bitter coffee and a 'warm' croissant that's been kept on a hot plate so long it's solidified (and not the kaneel croissant I ordered). Poor. Very poor.
