A friend turned us on to this place and fortunately it was really close to our hotel. It was this past Sunday night and there was live irish music. It appeared to be where anyone who wanted could bring their instrument and play. An ad-hoc group formed near the front and played the most delightful irish music. Several people were... More

I love pub food, so wanted to try it out. We ordered bun sandwiches. I didn't care for the chicken one, it was really bland. The lamb one was really good though. For dessert we got a heavenly layer cake. It was just spectacular. Our waitress was also wonderful to chat with.

Visited here a couple of times during our stay, we had a meal and a few beers on both occasions. We had the rack of ribs, which were lovely and the portion size was amazing, they have a great range of beers too. On the second visit we had the lamb sandwich with gravy which was nice. I would say... More

I spent 2weeks planning my husbands 62nd birthday. Checked the menu here and saw they had hot corn beef sandwiches, his favorite. We got there at noon and the place was empty. It is in bad need of a facelift. No corn beef but the club sandwich was excellent. Very disappointed, they need to update website.

Good morning Sharon, I afraid you may have left this review for either the wrong property, or perhaps you checked the wrong menu online. We are Molly Malone's Irish pub in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. We do not have our menu online anywhere, nor do we have a website online, and we have never sold hot Corn Beef sandwiches. If you... More

Probably it is the coziest pub in Amsterdam. Fresh Guinness, amazing spare ribs and salads. I am returning there again and again.

Great beers, great food and friendly staff. Have had both the roasted chicken and fish and chip dinners. Wednesday night pub trivia is fun.

Breakfast was part of the France Hotel package, so perhaps the dinnertime menu is different. The atmosphere of the pub was terrific. Staff welcoming and helpful.

Welcome to Molly Malone’s; an Irish pub as it should be!

Irish charm, Old world hospitality, lovely food, live music sessions, friendly staff and of course loads of craic; Molly’s has it all!

Molly's is located in an historic, former warehouse on the edge of Amsterdam's famous Red Light District and just a couple of minutes walk to the Central Station.

Our canal-side terrace faces out towards the St. Nicholas church and is a hot-spot for locals and tourists to relax and take in the lazy life of this delightful Dutch neighbourhood. The interior is lined with old whiskey barrels and aged Irish antiques, and the magnificent oak bar captures the spirit of Irish history in the heart of old Amsterdam.

We hope to see you soon!

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
