I was looking for a nice place to have tea ☕ and Bouf was just right. It was intimate, quite to chat and very relaxing.

Great atmosphere to sit down, have a coffee, get some work done, and then enjoy a lunch and watching the passersby. The service was friendly and warm, and the food was lovely. Would recommend 10/10

Restaurants nearby were all full. Walked into Bouf without a reservation. Was lucky to get a table. Impressions: I would classify this place as a mid-scale relaxed bar café. Nothing fancy. Pleasant service. Malbec (by the glass) was fine and so was the main dish entrecôte béarnaise. The salad that came with the dinner was only so and so. On... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant and were not disappointed- the steak and sea bass were both wonderful. The cheese board we shared was equally delicious.

Had a chicken salad and it was delicious. All ingredients very fresh. A little bit more chicken would've kicked it into 5 stars but still very good. Recommend

concert at 20:15 at Concertgebouw. Dinner at home is out of question, so we were looking for a nice place near the Concergebouw. Our usual Italian restaurant was fully booked so we tried a new place. Very nice ! simple, not a very large menu, but capable to accommodate various tastes.

We ate dinner here during the recent heatwave, and were pleased that the dishes we chose, while plentiful, were light enough for the weather. Bouf is clearly popular with those going on to the Concertgebouw, so tends to be busy in the early evening and quieter later on. We sat outside, and were well looked after by pleasant and attentive... More

I'll give it D for delightful. Very good beer, great terrace. Good service with nice waiters. Not a cocktail bar though.

Food is okay, a bit pricey for what you get. Carpaccio was dry, no pesto or bread. The dessert was the best and I don't even like desserts. They are very accommodating timewise if you have a concert afterwards.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
