Food was delicious. Had Singapore noodles and springs rolls, friends had beef and black bean and chicken cashew. Good location. Issue was with the female boss. Dietary requirements were an issue and she was non negotiable. She was intimidating and basically yelled at us when the lovely waiter tried to be accommodating. Over all I'd come back for the food... This restaurant was very clean and pleasant and nicely decorated. It had a calm and comfortable vibe and the food was served quite quickly. The food was really nice and was well presented. We had spring rolls (2 each) for starters which were very nice and for mains we ordered the chicken curry, sweet and sour chicken with 2 egg... More

If I had read the reviews of this place before I arrived in Amsterdam, I wouldn`t have gone here ! But I have to call it as I see it. The food was delicious and tasty, staff were great and we had a very pleasant time. No complaints at all.

I went there several days ago. It was a terrible experience. As a Cantonese, I don't know how they survive in Amsterdam with these crappy foods. One possible explanation may be they earn money from tour groups because the price is really high compared to other Chinese restaurants. There are no shrimps in the shrimp dumpling and the tofu in... The food was OK and the staff were very helpful and attentive. I just had a main course of roasted duck and pineapple. It was fine and I have no complaints just thought I have had better elsewhere. The dish was served in a hollowed out pineapple half and it looked the part.

I attended with my son and wife for a dinner as my wife is ASIAN and wanted Chinese cooking. We did not like the rice or the chicken dish and paid and left and went for PIZZA .

Terrible service. We ordered the set meals expecting quick service as the place was empty, our order was taken then a group of about 12 Chinese Asians turned up, followed by 2 Chinese Asians about 10 minutes later at another table. We were totally forgotten about whilst they were served first. Their food was almost eaten by the time our... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
