Great cooking, good service and lovely atmosphere! Good for children as well. The baklava is made in the restaurant and tastes wonderful!

Honest food for honest prices! If you are a vegetarian than you are completely satisfied with the vegetarian Pikilia, the greek salad and the extra spanakopirotika! As if you are in Crete!

My wife and I have been coming here since 1997, that is whenever we come to Amsterdam. The food is always delicious and we look forward to our next visit in November. All the food is excellent, the mixed platter is very satisfying. If you enjoy Greek food, it's well worth a visit and it's also on a lovely street... More

It was a recommendation from a nearby bar. The owner was very helpful and attentive. The food was really good and the price was excellent value. Would eat here again without reservation.

We found the place by chance, very late for dinner and they accepted to serve us anyway while so many restaurants in the area were closing and refusing customers. So very grateful for that. Service was ok, food quality very nice.

It was a delightful visit in a tasteful, welcoming restaurant. The food was excellent, the treatment was warm, kind and satisfying, gives the feeling of a home, and the price was definitely reasonable.

We ate dinner here and enjoyed what we had but it could have been much better with a few tweaks. I had stifado which was really good and had obviously had a long slow cook making the meat really tender and the sauce was absolutely delicious. My companions had the lamb in wine sauce which looked good and moussaka which... More

Just read the May 21, 2016 review and I'm amazed since our Anglo/Greek experience at "De Twee Grieken" was a polar opposite. All 4 of us ordered the lamb chops and all 4 of us were uniformly impressed. Our server, Kalliopi, was a delight. We ordered a bottle of red wine to have with our meal, but they didn't have... More

I think we are pretty much qualified to be objective as an Anglo/Greek family that this place is just awful. The owner is rude and impatient and the place is covered in greasy stained light fittings and other objects. The food was very poor, no pitta bread, (French baguette) no Greek beer just Heineken, you got the distinct impression the... More
