On a recent trip to Amsterdam, we tried Tomaz without reservations and were unable to get a table. We made reservations for the next night and were blown away by the delicious regional dishes and specials. Make sure you reserve early.

We were visiting Amsterdam for our 35th anniversary and dined here after reading other Trip Advisor reviews. The prior reviews were spot on--this lovely small place had wonderful food, great beer and wine and attentive, friendly staff. A place where locals dine. We sat inside...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

Tomaz is situated in the centre of Amsterdam near 'Het Begijnhof'. Tomaz is a small, cosy restaurant that serves traditional Dutch food of high quality in a friendly environment. Everything is homemade, always using fresh ingredients, often organic. Tomaz cooks the traditional Dutch local kitchen like stamppot, green pea soup (only in winter) and the famous Dutch beefstew as well as a modern interpretation of Dutch regional cuisine (all available for lunch and dinner!, also vegetarian Dutch dishes).Tomaz is: personal service, warm and welcoming atmosphere, lovely terrace, boardgames and free WiFi.We are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner, or just drinks. For groups (10-40 persons) Tomaz offers the special Dutch Table, a family-style taste of all our Dutch dishes.
