Menu looked great, prices better than most places around but it tasted cheap and boring unfortunately. Even when you order a chicken and pork dish, they add kransky sausage - not Chinese or Surinamese sorry.

Surinam Chinese food that is very tasty if you have a soft spot for it. Fresh, fast and very affordable. Big portions. Can't fault the place other than the obvious lack of finesse in the food and service.

Been coming here for years when visiting Amsterdam. Good size portion but quality not as good. Prawns tiny and meat very bony. Not sure we will return

Came here yesterday to get some chicken noodles to take away staff were rude and unhelpful. Big box of tasteless noodles with a couple bits of 'chicken' on top! Wouldn't recommend

I normally buy food from here as take away, but the food I bought yesterday was left over food from the previous day, it was tasteless filled with bones with much oil/Liquid. Such a waste of money. Won't come here again.

We've been here different time and if you are quite hungry you are in the right place. The Service is fast and the food is good. The roti is well prepared; all the plates are combined with rice and enough to be full at the end of your dinner. The price is acceptable as you eat. Always satisfied.

For a quick and good Chinese meal. We always go to this restaurant. The menu is simple and good. Service very quick too. Love the stir fried noodles.

Needs a touch of paint inside and out. Service was poor and food was even worse. Once we had complained about the soup our meals were rushed out despite the fact we had only just received soup. Poor understanding of English language. Over priced for what it is.

This restaurant is unpretentious, very central and cheap. Service was fast and food was hot and tasty.

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
