We visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day and had a great evening. The restaurant is at the backside of a 20's style barbershop. Set up as a speakeasy. They have a large selection of beers and cocktails. The menu is rather small but the food...is excellent. Perfectly prepared scallops and steak. The dessert was accompanied by a matching cocktail. Very friendly staff that seemed to have a lot of fun working there while at the same time staying professional. We'll definitely be coming back.More

By far the best quality cocktails in this city, and also the best concept around it. We've become regulars thanksnto the quality and the great staff. Oh and the chef knows his stuff too! Highly recommend!

Nice restaurant with original decor. When you enter you first pass the barbier, then a bar and at the back the restaurant. Reservations are necessary due to the limited number of places in the restaurant. Friendly service. We took the flat iron steak (22.5 €)...with fried goose liver (+4 €) with a portion of fine (+ 3.6 €) and thick (+ 3.1 € extra) fries, two regional beers of the month, 1 glass red wine, 1 espresso, 1 bottle of water and 1 whiskey. Total amount was 96.3 euros/2 persons. The choice of beers is very wide. Food was tasty but in our opinion small amounts. Instead of 3 pieces of steak, this could have been 4 pieces and the liver was also very small in portion. Extra for the fries is an exaggeration for us, certainly because we had the impression that they were frozen fries. All in all nice restaurant with good food, but small portions and ultimately expensive for the foodMore

I read about Barbier on a local website so some friends and I went over to have a look. We were welcomed by a very friendly bar girl who gave us a small tour and some explanation about Barbier and so we ordered a cocktail...at the bar (because the speak easy opened at 9 pm). When we finished a nice cocktail at the bar we were invited to go to the speak easy. And wow! What a experience! The way you enter the speakeasy is very cool and inside you are welcomed by a very cool designed old fashioned bar. Really recommend checking it out! Our bar host; Gabriel gave us a warm welcome and explained some stuff about the speak easy bar and about the cocktails. (Nice fact, he invited us to put our phones in the small locker that’s on the table to enjoy a evening with friends together, and so we did) After getting some help with choosing the right cocktail for us we ordered all one each and Gabriel started right away making some very beautiful cocktails. We had a really amazing evening, the cocktails were really amazing and Gabriel really is a true professional. Thanks Gabriel and people at Barbier for the amazing evening! See you again soonMore
