We were with our sons and daughters-in-law. After a particularly welcoming reception with a cremant from the Alsace with exciting amuses we were escorted to a beautiful round table. Beforehand we had ordered a 5-course menu with matching wines. The dishes were of a high culinary standard, composed with great passion and the wines were matching and really delicious. The service was great. At the same time, the dishes were served. Service was very attentive and everything was correct to perfection. Water was always replenished unnoticed. Even when 1 of us at the table mentioned that she prefers white instead of red wine but still wanted to taste, 1 of the service had caught this anyway. They immediately came to the table to ask if she would prefer a white wine. Very thoughtful. To conclude, we drank a delicious port. At checkout we didn't have to pay for 3 glasses because 1 of us only drank 2 wines because she was by car. You didn't have to because it was ordered that way. But very thoughtful. In short it was a real experience and even though we felt very spoiled, you really felt at ease.

★★★★★ What a great evening at Beluga in Maastricht. From the moment we walked in, everything was right. The decor is beautiful – a mix of oriental and modern tones, stylish yet warm and homely. The atmosphere only got better as the evening went on, with music adapting to the increasingly loud and convivial conversations. The menu started with an aperitif in the first part of the business, a nice build-up to what was to come. The dishes were all masterpieces, not only in presentation but especially in taste. What impressed me was the non-alcoholic drinks menu. Bob presented each creation with such pride and precision that it felt like he had just come out of his laboratory, where he had worked to the millimetre to find the perfect balance. Also the service was top notch. Stephanie gave everyone personal attention, as if you were a guest in her own home. And then Servais, who visibly enjoys the reactions to his dishes – you can see from everything that he wants nothing more than to surprise and let people enjoy. The evening ended perfectly with coffee and tea in the lounge, a detail that shows how well thought out the whole experience is. Highly recommended.

From start to finish, our experience at Beluga Loves You was simply unforgettable. The modern, stylish interior exudes warmth and hospitality, which made us feel immediately welcome. The staff was friendly, professional and knew all about the dishes, which only enriched our culinary journey. Each course surprised us with refined, balanced flavors and beautiful presentations. The chef clearly has a passion for his profession, which is reflected in the creativity and care with which each dish is prepared. The wine suggestions were also excellent and provided a perfect complement to the dishes. The ambiance, the excellent food and the personal attention made this a special evening. For those looking for a unique culinary experience in Maastricht, Beluga Loves You is definitely recommended. We will definitely be back!

After the nice welcome in the beautiful building where Beluga is located, you can have a quiet aperitif at the bar part of the restaurant before sitting down to a table. The bubbles naturally come with snacks and we are served three of them. There is no lack of originality, as we see a macaron with peanut and pickle, Pai Tee with charfish and chili, and a Marigold egg filled with local mushrooms and cheese. Each one is a flavor bomb and therefore a promising start. We are led to our table in the restaurant hall, with beautiful high ceilings and a view of the water, giving everything a peaceful atmosphere. Chef Servais himself brings the last snack, the Dragon Bread. A kind of popcorn with a nice twist that I won't reveal (this bite is permanently on the menu so be sure to discover it for yourself) - but it does involve liquid nitrogen. In addition to the fun gimmick, another tasty snack. We really start the five-course menu with the yellowfin tuna, a sushi rice cracker and a vinaigrette of ginger and coriander. As a final touch, there is a literal foam of coconut on top. This dish is largely prepared by the hostess at the table for some extra show. As an extra course there is the chef's signature, Wagyu A4. Provided with seasonings such as eel, beetroot, shiitake and finished with caviar. There is a nice story behind this caviar that is enthusiastically explained, which is always fun. The last starter is halibut on a bed of lemon zest, finished with fish eggs. The main course for the occasion is also fish, namely red mullet. A fairly firm fish, which gives it the structure of meat. Paired with variations of cauliflower and an excellent ravioli. Two delicious Iberico-based dressings complete the dish. We skip the cheese and end with a sweet dessert. The coconut meringue from the first dish returns in a more solid form and, together with lychee, pear and hints of chili, forms an extremely balanced dessert. Not too sweet, not too sour, perfect. We drink the coffee again in the bar, and fill the last holes with friandises: a mango cheesecake, a pear tartelet and a small tiramisu cake. I can be brief about the service: it is perfectly fine. The maître also convincingly presents all the wines, all of which are successful combinations. My wife had the juice package and these were also appreciated. Because she is pregnant, she also had an adapted menu, which unfortunately relied a little too much on vegetarian alternatives (this is understandable for a wagyu tartare, but a piece of fish can also be fried better), but that is by far the only downside that I can name here. Each dish is extremely balanced, very tasty, there is a story behind many ingredients and with some show elements the experience is complete. It is clear why BLY has a star on the wall.

We really enjoyed eating out at Beluga, Maastricht. As expected in a restaurant of this stature, the dishes are daring, modern, beautiful to look at, but above all fantastic in taste. We were also struck by the perfect service and friendly, enthusiastic atmosphere. We also received a detailed explanation about the dishes and the wines and very special port served with them. A dietary requirement communicated in advance was neatly taken into account and while consuming my beautifully balanced cheese board, my wife was offered an extra "pre-dessert". All in all, a special, evening-filling experience that we remember with satisfaction and great pleasure.

An evening-filling taste experience, taken care of down to the last detail. Upon arrival, sit back and acclimatize in the lounge with a delicious bubble and great and exciting bites. We were then escorted to the restaurant area where there was a nice relaxed atmosphere and the spacious layout ensured that you did not become part of the conversation of your neighbors. The pleasant contemporary ambiance with nice modern beats framed the works of art that came from the kitchen. All 6 courses were spot-on, both in terms of presentation and taste. The wines served with it lifted the dishes to an even higher level and vice versa. The team really pampered us and took care of everything before you even realized you needed anything. The chef served himself and explained his creations; that was the icing on the cake for us. We will be talking about this for a long time.

Beluga had been on my wish list to visit for a long time. We were in the beautiful city of Maastricht, so we took the moment to have lunch here. We opted for the 5-course anniversary menu with matching vineyard names, and we haven't regretted it for a second! After a friendly welcome, we took a seat in the 'living room' where we were offered a number of bites and an aperitif and an explanation of the menu and we could indicate any dietary requirements. My dining companion chose the vegetarian variant, I the 'original'. After the bites we were guided to our table in the beautifully decorated restaurant part. From here it was a wonderful, relaxing experience of beautifully laid out plates with delicious dishes, fantastic wines, very friendly service with knowledge of their products and nice conversations. After lunch, coffee and friandises were served in the 'living room' after which we returned home happy and satisfied.

Greatly enjoyed all the tasty and special dishes. The price quality ratio is top, we went for the 6 course anniversary menu with accompanying wines. Despite the fact that the service was somewhat understaffed because of an ill person, which sometimes caused minor beauty mistakes and there was palpable stress present, we had a wonderful night out. Can recommend it to anyone!

We had an excellent 6 course meal. Beautiful presentation, very tasteful. Staff was very attentive, making sure all the little details were right. When the staff heard about my dads birthday they added a sparkling fountain candle with the dessert. Very much appreciated. We really enjoyed our evening.

A true experience; I really thought it was a fairy. The customer-friendliness, etiquette, taste sensations ... what special but great dishes we have tasted ... also the amuses ... drool! And then that piece of popcorn from the dragon egg... so special

Like any Michelin star restaurant it is not cheap but compared to other similar restaurants I really liked this one. Excellent matching wines, surprising flavors, top service. And if you indicate that you are allergic to a number of ingredients, this will be taken into account in eke dish.

Food was really fantastic! Gems on the plate...The service was pleasant and relaxed at first....but as it got busier, they also got very rushed, hectic and there was 'running' through the restaurant. Especially the older sommelier. The story about the wines became shorter and hurried (even walked away slowly a number of times while telling) and this gentleman poured the wine more and more crass and hurried, even with his arm outstretched almost walking away. So that was very unfortunate. Due to the haste and hectic pace, people were not always listening and things were forgotten. The somewhat younger sommelier took a little more time and tried to do his best to tell the ‘wine story’ more calmly. The (blonde young) hostess, only worked there for a short time, but was top! Super friendly and came across much less rushed. Towards the end of the evening, there was more peace and less hectic and the waitstaff had more time to talk about the food and wines and no one ran through the restaurant anymore. The dishes came pretty quickly after each other. But after we indicated that something was done with it. All in all, a fine evening. Maybe in the future a better organizational structure, because it seems to be gone when it gets too busy!

We visited Beluga Maastricht for our anniversary and we really enjoyed it immensely. The dishes were delicious, even for me as a vegetarian with a nut allergy, they did their best to surprise me with something delicious with every dish. The service was exceptionally good and the staff is very nice, friendly, but also professional and they speak with passion about their profession. The food and everything surrounding it is truly an experience. A very successful evening for us!

We were 6 adults and chose the 6 course menu. Received by very friendly and professional staff. We could choose from various tasty aperitifs and were served tasty snacks. Then divine food was served by staff who get 10/10 from us. The sommelier also gave us perfect advice. We all enjoyed it 100% and would love to come back!

Wyck
Wyck in Maastricht is a charming neighborhood that feels like a step back in time. With its 17th-century architecture and narrow cobblestone streets, it is an alluring destination for anyone with a love for history and culture. The neighborhood is home to a multitude of unique boutique shops, delightful cafes, and gourmet restaurants offering a variety of international cuisine. The showstopper, however, is the grand Saint Martin's Church, a stunning example of neo-Gothic architecture. Wyck is also incredibly easy to reach, with Maastricht's train station located just on its outskirts, making it a convenient choice for travelers.
