We had lunch in the restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service was attentive. We had the catch of the day w nice piece of cod with spinach in lobster sauce. Excellent dish.

Food was very good (presented really nicely, too), but the service was simply bad. Waiting times between courses were totally ridiculous. One person who didn’t order an appetizer, waited TWO HOURS to be served his first course. When asked (after almost two hours) in a...friendly manner if there was a problem in the kitchen, the waitress didn’t show a lot of interest, just said that they wanted to serve the main meals at the same time.... It was not even that busy and there was plenty of staff walking around...More

I was accompanying my partner for a dinner date he had the planed for. He called to arrange a window view for a romantic sunset dinner, but the staff weren’t sure over the phone. When greeted at the restaurant, the seating was denied. Customer service...is not great. We were seated next to what seamed an exit door and a fake palm tree. The two desserts came way too late apart from each other and neither milk or sugar was served to my partner nor me during tea and coffee. Waitress seemed over stressed. Food presentation, aroma and taste was amazing. Other than that the service was poor. Upsetting.More

Nice modern restaurant at the top floor of the Westcord hotel with romantic round sits and an friendly dinner service. The catch of the day and the chateaubriand had an excellent pison, nice seasoning and perfect taste in combination with the wine arrangement.

Great dinner with friends. The best view in Leeuwarden by far, and the food was tops. Service very good. Would for sure recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Yes they lost their star, but maybe better too. The service is spot on, more relaxed,...and maybe better without the star😀. Bravo!More

The food is fine, the view nice on the 11th floor overlooking Leeuwarden, the decor a bit old and boring, but the service not good at all. We walked in and were asked, after saying our name and not listening, if we were there for...drinks. No. We reserved for dinner (I hope). They let you wait too long cleaning up the table when a course is finished. Come on guys. You are all standing around talking. Get it together.More

Confirmed reservation, but no table available on time. Excellent and well presented menu, chefs doing great job. Seemed to forget all orders, wine, desert. I.e. We were asked if we wanted coffee after the starter. We did get thr dessert!

We used to frequent the place when it had a Michelin Star but since lost it. The formula was changed: the brasserie and former Star restaurant were merged into one. The menu now offers 3 \-and 4 course "cheap meals" (compared to other local select...places) but with unattractive choice of courses. The , then slected a-la-carte menu offers essentially little more at higher prices. The same chef, we have known for years, before being taken over with the former Star Restaurant Frouckje Staete, is still working at now Eleve. We have the feeling he may be restricted in his creativity by the current owner of Eleve and the hotel, Harry Westers of Westcord Hotels. The latter of course has a record of successfull turnarounds of hotels and restaurants and must be given credit for for those. Service was OKAY, though slow and not particularly friendly or personal.More

Our suprise menu was very nice and we did enjoy the food. But some more smiles of the staff would made a difference. And also if they could show some more interest in their customersMore

Pun intended ... the Michelin star restaurant Elevé is at the top floor (11th) of the WTC Hotel but also the food, service, wine and views are at elevated levels. The setting is modern with breathtaking views of the city and it's surroundings. The reception...is very friendly and personal. Delicious amuses followed by great looking and innovative starters and main courses. Everything is prepared and presented with an eye for detail and taste. Subtle where required and a little bolder where needed. Accompanied by wines that are maybe not regarded as absolute top shelf but withut exception are a good pairing with the dishes and great discoveries. Very relaxed atmosphere and a very attentive and personal service. "Highly" recommended!More
