Great place to eat traditional local food and drink regional beers. It gets pretty busy but tables get turned around quickly and so the wait is never too long.

What a great place - steak on swords and flaming beers a must. Staff are fantastic. Only grumble was it closes too early! (11pm)

Really good food, best in Zurich! The tortellini was especially delicious. I would go back when in Zurich.

First restaurant in Switzerland and it didn't disappoint. Close to the main shopping Street, really friendly service and great food. We had the tortellini and spicy pork sausage, would definitely recommend the tortellini and the sausage was also pretty good. We came around 2pm and it was fairly busy but no trouble in finding a table.

This restaurant is a bit like a local diner would be in the US. The portions are large, and the staff are friendly, at least by Swiss standards. To be clear, however, the food is not gourmet, but for the most part it is well done.

We were able to get a table right away for dinner around 7:30pm on Sunday night. It's communal sitting so you'll be sharing table with other people. Service is pretty quick, menu has house specialties as well as seasonal specialties. Nice hearty food, especially on a cold night after a day of skiing. We had the pork shank with rösti... More

Big space, even without reservation we could get a table after 5 minutes waiting. Try one of their many sausages and roti potatoes

Popped in here a couple of times during our stay. The whole place takes you back in time to an era when service, food and tradition were all important. It's high ceiling and many windows give this place a lovely light feel. The menu is very good and we particularly enjoyed the seasonal specials. The Jugged venison was super! I... More

Typical swissgerman food (sausage, beer kartoffelsalat, schnitzel, ...) but at very high price. The room is nice but the cannon and other weapon made me quite uncomfortable. The room is big and busy. The service is therefore fast, professional but cold.
