Managed to get a table by booking a couple of hours earlier but very busy and fast turnover. It was fun sharing a table with some locals who knew some of the 'house specialities' as well as loving the beer, sausages, and general atmosphere. All of that in the space of an hour!!! Just wish we had been staying long... More

Ok it's a nice looking place the staff are excellent and it does indeed run like a well oiled machine, however. The food we had was average at best, edible of course but full of salt and lacking in anything at all that justified the horrendous cost. £7.70 for a bottle of water you are kidding me. Two of us... First experience at a typical "beer hall" and we had a great time. Food was wholesome and while the service is very much process focused it was very efficient. Very much the sort of place tourists, including ourselves, need to tick off. Can see why it's so popular.

If you want to eat where the Swiss eat this is the place. Food very good but the atmosphere is the best thing about this Swiss German beer hall. If you want to get a table without a reservation go as early as possible. - 6 pm. The place will up around you. Great place for a small group -... More

This very nice restaurant in an historic army building is an absolut classic within Zurichs high standing restaurant scene. The prices are moderate, the service very quick. For lovers of meat, sausage and french fries.

We went here after walking around Zurich for a while. The restaurant is popular with tourists, but the special is really good.

A lovely typical swiss place, excellent food, personell is always friendly and they speak many different languages. May be overcrowded during luchtime or rainy days, but staff will always find a place for you. Even if you have to wait a bit. Reservation is possible and garantees you a fine meal. The best: dogs are allowed!

We have been in 2016 to this restaurant with some friends and like the location, the service and the atmosphere. They serve typical swiss food and you can find also reasonably cheap solutions, such as meals based on typical swiss sausages, of which they have quite a large selection. Definitely will go back again.

My wife and I chose this restaurant because it seemed more fun and a better value than more pricey Zurich restaurants. It was a typical beer hall with lots of food and beer choices as well as a lively atmosphere for people watching. We were lucky to get a table because even at 4pm the place was crowded. I enjoyed... Built inside an ancient weapon deposit (and inside the decorations on the walls are mostly historical weapons), this restaurant serves typical Swiss-German food like schnitzels, all kinds of sausages etc. Of course beer choice is very good. We enjoyed a great meal
