The restaurant is famous for cakes, but we went for breakfast. The "set" breakfast is 13SF, and for that you get a fresh croissant, a fresh sweet roll, butter, jam, squeezed orange juice and coffee/tea. It was filling and sophisticated. Silver plates and milk jugs! Eating out in Zurich is expensive, but this was surprisingly good value. I wanted cake,... More

The restaurant is a bit old-fashioned and scruffy in design, but the food is excellent. Service is slow, but since the place is usually full, it is understandable. Small tables, close together, not the place for a business meeting. The shop downstairs is famous for the "Luxemburgerli" in various tastes. I still prefer the original chocolate and vanilla. Their sandwiches... More

Confiserie Sprüngli is the place to go to get really good chocolate - basically you can take anything and it will always taste great. My favourite chocolate is the Grand Cru with 49% cocoa, almonds and orange...just delicious. There are exceptional Luxemburgeli...not to compare with the French macaroons...much much better. The "Cremeschnitte", tho, is better at Hiltl... Only "issue" -... More

I'm not the biggest fan of Sprüngli because of the very high prices for... Well, not that much of food. ;) But when it comes to sweets... The stuff is simply delicious!!! I love the Luxemburgerli and the chocolate, in particular truffles. Also the truffle cake is a caloric irresistible chocolatic dream. But, as said, it's pricy and I think... More

My mom and I along with my 7 month old baby went to Sprungli cafe and had lunch for two consecutive days. We ate there the first day because our walking tour guide suggested it and said it was a historical landmark and that the food was really good. We loved it! So we went back the next day for... More

When in Zurich you must go there to have a hot chocolat or a coffe with the gorgeous chocolate trufel cake. If possible sit outside to appreciate the lovely view.

Excellent local chocolate hang -out for coffee and baked goods. After many visits over the many years of living in Zurich, it is a popular place to go for tourists and locals.
