We came here wanting a traditional Swiss fondue - which we had and it was very good. Unfortunately, the restaurant requires that each person order a fondue which is a lot of cheese and bread to eat - and it gets boring after awhile. Like almost all the restaurants in Old Town Zurich, this is very pricey. The service was... More

Dear Melody B Thank you so much for your visit to our restaurant and your comments. 1 We do serve regular size fondue - which is usually 200 gr. cheese, and all the other ingredients. The bread is as much as you want. 2 Sure you can order 1 Fondue to split. This is additional CHF 9.-- 3 It never... More

On a city break and wanted to try cheese fondue! A great venue - nice atmosphere and attentive waitress. Had read reviews prior to booking and glad I chose classic cheese fondue along with the veal schnitzel to share with my boyfriend. Both were really tasty. Total bill was reasonable for Switzerland. Easy location to find

Dear eamarammar Thank you for the short comment!- However it was not useful since we can not make it better if you just say: ...i get better in Zurich! What you get better? What did you order? What is medium food quality? Is this your own rating system? Are you sure you have been in our restaurant... last order in... More

Lili was a wonderful server. We asked her for her recommendations and went with it. My veal was wonderful and my husband's fondue with broth and endless fries made him a happy hubby. We will return.

Several different fondues to choose from. I took counsel from an expert who said to keep it simple and have potatoes and bread. Great location in the old town. 5 minute walk from HBF. Decorated in a traditional style which adds to the occasion.

this is a place to spend a night and have a truly Swiss dinner with regional specialities, served in a modern fashion with well prepared dishes. Cannot miss the cheese Fondues.

After several good experiences in the past, I came with a group of friends this time. Seven people on a Friday evening (the place was very full), and they still managed to provide extremely friendly, charming and efficient service. Of course, the food (Fondue) was great again as well - otherwise I wouldn't keep coming back again and again. All... More

You can eat cheese fondue, raclette or some meat dishes. For raclette you have plate like drawbridge. When cheese becomes fluid, pour it on boiled potato. Be careful, it is very substantial! My choice - Chinese fondue, fresh meat to put in broth. For my opinion it is not Chinese, more japanese, similar like syabu syabu. Anyway it is good... More

One of the many places in Zurich where to have fondues and raclettes. The outside decorations leave no doubt as to what you will find inside... Went with the team from work for a New Year team dinner to kick-off 2017 on the right foot. We ate in the cellar, two or three levels down. The place has been decorated... More

We had a very nice meal here. Yes, you smell the cheese when you walk in. But it's a fondue restaurant. Expect that. You stop noticing it. Portions of fondue are very large. Others have noted that they have an extra charge for sharing. We ordered one portion fondue and one sausage entree and shared both. That worked out really... More

Description
To us, "Swiss Alpine cuisine" means bringing a portion of the "Swiss mountains" to you at lunchtime or in the evening. The rustic cellar vault brings to mind a typical wine cellar in the vineyards of the Valais. We put the aroma of the Swiss Alps on your plates.

The original cheese fondue comes to you in eight different variations, as dictated by Valais tastes. And when your meat is brought to you on a hot stone, you know it will be cooked exactly as you want it.

Of course, our menu also includes the classics; "Bauernbratwurst" sausage with onion sauce, veal Cordon Bleu with herbed French fries, and – naturally – Zurich "Geschnetzeltes" (stir-fried veal) served with rosti.

In summer, we also serve all these delights on our delightful terrace beside the pedestrian zone. Have we whetted your appetite? We look forward to seeing you!
