Compare to its counterpart "BANK" across the street, i much prefer it here. The old-school bar, chandelier, leather benches are what make this place inviting. The coffee is great, baked-goods top notch, and delicious breakfast/brunch options. The old-school bar, chandelier, leather benches are what make this place inviting. I've never been disappointed by the service either. Highly recommended!

When arriving at the restaurant I was enchanted with the first space of the same where we can drink cocktails and to snack. At the back of the room there is the second space that is suitable for dining with separations of environments which gives us some privacy. The food is delicious, the service fantastic. To repeat soon.

This vast restaurant looks great but the food is nothing special. We had a boring green salad to start, though the garlicky dressing was home-made, I think, and excellent. After that small strips of rather chewy veal in a not very creamy sauce was below par for this traditional Zurich meal, potato mash was underwhelming and slices of cooked carrot... More

When you want Swiss cuisine but prefer something a little nicer, Volkshaus is just the place. Excellent seasonal food, very good wine list. Interesting atmosphere mixing modern and traditional Brasserie style.

Although we were told it connected to workers party prices certainly not low. We opted for lunch rather then the breakfast which is standard eggs bacon etc. The meat loaf with fried potatoes was mediocre more like supermarket food!! It not really a meatloaf but german version. Not minced meat. The meat balls with mashed potatoes had three meatballs and... More

They generally have still space for brunch while all other options in Zurich are packed, and that's it. The rest is an average fine: staff is friendly but not extremely welcoming or enthusiastic; ambient is nice but they need to do something about the ceiling; and food... the most expensive (and you would expect the richest) brunch option is an... I just attended this basically very nice place in order to celebrate 'Martini'. The 'martini-goose' unfortunately was not at all great: extremely dry and cold. The wine and the service, however, were nice.

This is a very old restaurant of Zurich city. Restaurant and bar is just amazing. Awesome menu. Seasonal foods and desserts are very delicious.
