The pizza was good, but not extraordinary. The price is a bit higher than the Zurich average for a vegetarian pizza. They charged us 4 CHF just to cut one of the pizzas in half. They didn't even warn us...and we only found out about it in the bill. Also, they were pushing us to have wine and the waitress... More

We go to Grottino since several years and were never disappointed. The pizza is amongst the best in town. Very crispy and great taste. The pasta as well. (We actually never tried one of their meat dishes, so cannot comment on this, but think the menu is very exhaustive, not sure how they handle this part in the kitchen.) The... More

As an Italia I'm very particular about my pizza - and Grottino delivered every time, as I'm working in Zurich it's become my favorite restaurant - really nice staff and chilled vibe too. Two thumbs up from moi

Pizza was excellent, perfect thin crust, exactly per my liking. I went with local friends, who go there quite often. We were treated very nicely, service was quite quick and the food was delicious.

The 'adventure' with service was bad from the very beginning till the end. We were waiting for wine menu around 15min, waiting for wine around 20. Form the moment since we asked for a bill until payment (after 3x reminding that we are still waiting) took them around 40min. Plus stupid 'jokes' that servis made. Pizza was very normal. There... Experience service wise was rude from the beginning to the end. Long 30-45 waiting time for everything: to order, get the drinks/food and pay (asking in the end for more money when we wanted to split the bill than accurate/based on the bill). Food was decent but won't return due to the staff running the place. There are many places... More

***We were regular clients, we live nearby*** I am a big fan of great pizza and the pizza there is very good (often) but lately i've noticed in the pizza making process that they are starting to use the lowest quality products you can find in a supermaket and charging premium prices for pizza, seriously the mozzarella and the prosciutto... I used to go to this restaurant regularly with friends. All pizzas we tried over time were excellent, as was the wine. Service was also great.

Grottino offers a set menu, as in one offering a day. As long as you aren't a picky eater, you are going to like everything they serve. Host Mchael Grey was very friendly, taking time to chat and serving us the house schnapps to finish our visit.
