This is the Best Indian Restaurant in Grindelwald. We were completely blown away by the warm and friendly staff, they always greeted us with a smile and warm welcome, even when other restaurant turned us away, namely Uncle Tom Hutte, Golden India welcomed us with...open arms this to on a very busy Saturday Evening 👍🏻👏. Donald, Philton, Martina and Angel are the true stars of this place and need to be specially appreciated. On the food front loved the Tandoori Chicken, Dal Tadka, Butter Chicken and Butter Naan! Excellent food! Everything was perfect- so tasty and fresh. Definitely recommended! We ate this food 3 out of the 5 days we were in Grindelwald and it was fantastic everytime!

We were not expecting an Indian restaurant in grindlewald. It was pleasant surprise for us that was as good as the view there. The guy who was waiting our table was very nice and me and my wife had a great time.

My brother in law and I made a reservation here after an afternoon of hiking. It wasn't busy and we were seated at a table for 4. After receiving our drinks what appeared to be the owner was chatting with our waiter in Arabic and...pointed at us like we did something wrong. We were then moved to a small table for 2. Not a huge deal but we were annoyed that a couple walked in moments later and were seated at the table we just left. We tried some samosas and something else which were good but not noteworthy. I ordered the lamb vindaloo and my brother had Dal Tadka or something similar. We shared entrees and had naan too. The meal itself was tasty. It was good to have Indian food to help break up the rotation of alpine cheese, raclette, fondue, rosti, etc. The prices are on the higher side for similar restaurants elsewhere in the world but we're talking about Switzerland and I knew this going in. Value for the money is the only thing holding Golden India back from a 5 star review. The convenience of having a good Indian restaurant in a Swiss mountain town offsets this, however. Nonetheless it was a good experience and we would likely return.More

Naan was excellent, Curry Chicken was very flavourful but with too much oil. Rice was good but could be cooked more. Weighters serve dishes holding plate with finger in the middle of empty plate and serve rice with finger touching rice. Pretty disgusting for COVID...times. I ate there twice because I have to close my eyes to the cleanliness given food in town is not good at all. This was best place we found in terms of flavour. A trip to the toilets just confirmed it felt like a bit very clean place. I sat inside first time and it’s all dark so hard to sense cleanliness. Second time I sat outside where I could see better.
