We booked this restaurant based on the other reviews on trip advisor and we were certainly not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the table was near the log fire where some of the cooking was done. Very eco friendly and although it was a fairly warm day the fire was not too hot. We had the... More

We were keen to visit before going home and got a table for Friday lunch. It is good to have satnav if you do not know the area. The food was as good as we were expecting. I had a set menu that consisted of black pudding, lamb, cheese and cafe gourmand. My wife had fish soup, smoked ham and... More

We were warmly welcomed by our waitress, who also ended up cooking our main course in the open fireplace! My husband ordered the country pate as a starter, and, in typical French fashion, was given the whole terrine and a knife to serve himself however much he chose to eat. Good simple food. Lovely location by the river.

I was directed to this place by local people on my trip through Normandy. With out a dought a hidden gem, lovely and relaxing place. If the weather is good take a moment and enjoy a glas of vine outside while relaxing and enjoying the view. The food is excelent, price is cheap/reasonable and the staff are really nice! I... More

We were told about this dining place by the people who we rented our gite from. A little difficult to find, but we got there eventually. Well off the beaten track down long lanes which seem to go nowhere but well worth the persevereance. I am sure the views in the summer are spectacular, a little more dark in the... More

Recommended by our hosts late in the day, who helped arrange a reservation. A little hard to find, especially with a, (too typical), impatient local driver hugging our rear bumper. It turned out he was headed to the same restaurant, and after an initial cold look on his part, he warmed up. I had the fish soup and lamb chops..very... More

This place is amazing, if you love food this restaurant is a must for you. They cook simple food over an open fire, and serve it with a smile and charm, and were very welcoming to our son for an evening meal. We had amazing huge prawns and fish soup for starters, both were superb, then we had the rib... More

Once again, this restaurant was recommended by an owner of the chateaux we have stayed in. What a charming gem! Our steaks were grilled in front of us in a huge fireplace! Amazing meal with delicious deserts followed by great French wine. Owners made us feel more than welcome with an excellent and caring service. Couldn't recommend more!!

A surprising and wonderful find in the middle of the countryside. Our Bed and Breakfast recommended this restaurant for dinner. After about a 20 minute winding drive through the countryside where we did not encounter another car or person, we came upon this charming French farmhouse on the edge of a waterway at sunset - a perfect setting! The interior... More

Out of the way location, down a very narrow road but right by the river. You will not be dissappointed by the food. Really necessary to book. Small dining area and some of the dishes are cooked over a open log fire. ( a bit warm if you are sitting close by). Pate all home-made. Meal was excelleant. 3 couses... More
