Very nice Thai restaurant located in a very good place (lake front). Food is extremely good and tasty, with several options to choose. Wine list is rich and had great options to go with the food. Service is good. Highly recommended.

I could not warm up to this place. Yes, the atmosphere is exclusive, yes, the wine list is ridiculous in length and price, yes, the silverware and decor is expensive and exclusive, yes, it is in a noble hotel, yes, they will park your car...More

The decor, service and extras (watermelon balls) are fabulous but the food was disappointing. The flavors were far too muted to inspire.

Yes, it was the most expensive Thai food we ever had! But, it was delicious. The menu could have more options, though. Service was excellent assuming you were in Geneva, where service can be very slow and not too friendly.

Located in the Beau Rivage hotel this is a good quality Thai restaurant with a good range of sea food dishes. Had noix st jacques followed by sea bass in lime and chilli sauce, very good. By Geneva standards it's also reasonable value.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Hotel Beau-Rivage. Pleasant design in national style. Wonderful service. And delicious dishes of Thai cuisine. I always try to come here while in Geneva.

Description
Since opening in 1999, Patara rapidly became a leading reference in Thai gastronomy and has long been one of the go-to addresses in international Geneva. This Mecca of culinary refinement is in reality the Geneva ambassador of one of the finest tables in Bangkok. It stands out for the authenticity and modernity of its cuisine, offering innovative combinations of spices, flavours and modes of preparation. The restaurant is located within the exceptional setting of the Hotel Beau-Rivage and boasts all the know-how, exclusive recipes and service philosophy of its Thai parent company. The chefs and kitchen team are sent to Geneva from Bangkok after being trained and having spent at least five years in the group's establishments. In a scrupulous concern for authenticity and freshness, ingredients are sent out twice a week from Bangkok, and are used in combination with the finest local produce. A comprehensive wine-list, selected especially for their harmonious combination with spicy dishes, rounds off a unique gastronomic experience on the banks of Lake Geneva, combining the best of East and West.
