We were a party of four and all of us had the Wienerschnitzel with french fries. The Schnitzel was truly the best I have ever had and all of us loved it. The veal was sliced very thin, breaded and fried to a perfect golden brown. The small portions were extremely generous and the large portions were huge. The waiters... More

I went here with my friends and their child and had a lovely meal. The service was very friendly and was very nice. They were great with their child which is always a great sign. I had the goat cheese salad and my friends had the ravioli. They loved their pasta dish and my salad was very nice. I was... More

Just to be clear: I live in Bern. I have tried every Schniztel (The Wiener sort) around Bern, and I have never come close to what is served here. Well worth a visit! The decor is dated, but the experience is grand! Make sure you save a table, it's worth it!

I had the best Wiener Schnitzel of my life. Even though I only ordered the small one, I had more than enough. The food is very nicely prepared and tastes phantastic. The staff is suuuuper friendly and helpful. If you want to have an authentic idea of what the Swiss Cuisine is all about, I'd recommend Frohsinn.

I went with my boyfriend and we both got the Wiener schnitzel. It was so good! They were quick to get the food out, which is a plus for European restaurants. They also had ketchup, which as an American, I miss a lot when we come here. The waitresses spoke English well too which always makes me feel more comfortable.... More

We had delicious salads - both as starters and entrees. The fish entree with some sort of cream sauce was outstanding. So glad we found this place with our TripAdvisor Mobile App!

If you think you can’t get a Wienerschnitzel in Switzerland then you haven’t been to Frohsinn in Münstergasse in Old-Town of Berne! We live in Berne and ever since I have been there the first time 3 years ago - we are now trying to go there at least once every month. The price is totally reasonable for the size... More

Went here on a busy Carnival night with a reservation. Menu was limited due to carnival so I wasn't able to sample what their regular food was. But we ordered schnitzel, pasta and roast beef and all were good. Prices were reasonable for Swiss standards. Service was quite friendly considering it was a very busy night. I would consider going... More

Found the Frohsinn thanks to TA. Looking furthermore at the restaurant's website (http://www.froh-sinn.ch/) comforted me in my choice. The restaurant is on two floors and has a little covered terrace (common in Bern's Old Town since most of the pavements are part of the buildings). I booked a table there since the Old Town was quite busy with a music... More
