Great cafe at the station, we stopped for lunch on Sunday. Delicious grilled chicken and grilled beef steak burgers, lots of fresh salad filling. Service was friendly but could be more attentive. We were handed a German menu and took some time to get attention to ask for an English menu. Allow yourself enough time if catching the train and... More

Very nice to eat and drink when at the train station. For a train station restaurant really worth to try. We were there for breakfast during the week. It was not very crowded. I had a vegan Bircher müsli - and unfortunately I have to say I prefer classic Bircher müsli. But it is nice that they have vegan options.... More

We came middle of the morning on a sunday for brunch. Excellent choice of sweet and salted dishes, fruits and all kind of beverage. Ambiance is cosy and friendly.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, the Beefburger was massive and very filling, their is a comprehensive drinks menu, including homemade lemonade, too.

My first visit here was for a romantic dinner many years ago and it was great. Later I have found a job just opposite, so I am going there regularly to have lunch or an after-work drink with friends or colleagues. They have a constant menu (try a flammkuchen), but also a seasonal menu that I normally go for. I... More

Don't have time to run across the street to the 'Bahnhöfli' for a delicious meal? The sandwich shop in the Basel Bad train station is an acceptable alternative. The sandwiches were okay, not amazing and not poor, and the ingredients seemed fresh. I think it was a little expensive for what you got (even knowing we were in Switzerland) so... More

It's a rather unexpected experience to enjoy the first class cuisine at the train station. But les garcçons are absolutely worth the visit. The food is simple, but delicious. Creative compositions. Ingredients mostly local, seasonal, quite a good portion organic. We ate the best parsnip soup ever! Main dishes were as excellent.
