Food served here is decent. Arrived as a party of 2. It was very close to our hotel and was easy to get to. Service was okay. Food was served quickly enough and was okay. A bit pricey but seems like thats the case everywhere in Switzerland. Tried the paneer and asked for it to be spicy, sadly it wasnt.... More

Went for my wife`s birthday..She being an Indian ordered the chef`s recommendation for the lamb requesting it to be spicy and authentic in taste. When the food arrived..it was not difficult to recognize that it was old and refrigerated lamb curry just warmed up! Anyhow, when we tasted the food, we could feel the lamb to be cold in the... The service was slow though it was not busy and not very friendly but when the food arrived it tasted good. However, the interior was too brightly lit, stark and very basic. It was expensive and I think the surroundings need re-thinking to do justice to the food they serve.

We were only in Basel for a few hours from morning till evening and we were looking out for an Indian restaurant. Tripadvisor app suggested this one as the closest to Basel SBB bahnhof. so went here for lunch. The lady who received us was very courteous and very helpful in suggestions. Ultimately we chose the lunch buffet. Excellent choices... More

Hmm, what to say? Was it bad or was it good? Something in the middle I would rate. Nothing special, nothing really spicy, not outstanding at all. Rather expensive give the average quality of food.

There's nothing actually wrong with the food - in fact it's fairly good. It's just that it's rather bland. Don't believe it when the menu says "spicy" - it definitely is not OK if you're just hungry and want something to eat - but not if you're looking for an interesting Indian meal. The service, however, is friendly and the... More

Had a great curry here with a colleague when we were on business in Basel. Read a previous review so opted for a Chicken Jalfrezi and a Lamb Vindaloo. Have to say the Vindaloo was spectacularly tasty and nowhere near as spicy as we get back in the UK. What did make my eyes water was the bill. Over CHF70... More

As an Indian who has managed and cooked in an Indian restaurant I try and make it a point of checking out all the Indian restaurants to find out if there's one I'd like to visit regularly. And so I took a visitor from Sweden to Bajwa as it was close to his hotel. Sadly, the food really didn't quite... More
