I was part of a large group of 15 people dining at Lowenzorn: we were on business in Basel and were treated to dinner by our hosts. Lowenzorn dates back hundreds of years and is a beautiful old building. We had private dining in the fabulous Intersiensaal room. Our group created a 'party' atmosphere and were rather loud, so private... More

Classic for the room and the food. Not fine dining - think more Swiss comfort food. Lunch menu was fine: great soup; ok lamb stew. Service is not very attentive. Lots of locals.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening for dinner. The place is very authentic, spacious, full of interesting Carnaval decorations and most importantly the service is exceptional! The cheese fondue we ate is very delicious. Traveling with 4 Dutch friends, I can say that we all agree it was a remarkable cheese dish. At the end of our meal,... More

During our trip in Basel we (me and my friends) were looking for a traditional Swiss restaurant and found LowenZorn. It is one of the best experiences i ever had in a restaurant. Amazingly friendly staff, a delicious traditional cheese fondue. As a cherry on top, Nathalie, the restaurant manager, invited us to taste some tipical swiss sweets. Thank you... More

I like this restaurant, we have shared an awesome swiss fondue and As main dish I had roasted pork with smashed potatoes and a great beer. The service is a bit slow though. The place is also very nice in side, well decorated plenty of room. I'll go back for sure. Thanks!

Overpriced microwave food. They don't even know how to do a proper fondue. Meat tasted blend and other dishes were average and overpriced too. The waiter did his best but of course wasn't passionate because of the food he was serving. I don't recommend this place.

We ate here after being told this was a traditional Swiss restaurant. The service was good. The food was good. Pork ribs and cordon bleu schnitzel were our main courses. Lovely atmosphere.
