Experience incredible in relaxed surroundings, delights diners with classic and new creations executed to perfection. Strangozzi carbonara "vera" to die for! It's one of the rare places in Perugia, impeccable service.

My wife and I had a very nice dinner on their raised patio in front of their restaurant. The food and service were great! We recommend. We had two dishes as starters--egg and polenta. We followed that with two main dishes, beef fillet and tortello....We also added truffles to our dishes and we had a side of spinach. We had their mousse grana for dessert. All the food was great. The service was excellent—the restaurant is run by a young couple. The location is on the piazza just behind the main church.More

We absolutely love truffles, so a lunch visit here was never going to be anything other than enjoyable. However, Al Tartufo exceeded our expectations! Yummy truffle bruschette for antipasto and great truffle tagliolini to follow were washed down with nice wine pairings recommended by the...waiter. Must be one of the best restaurants we've visited over the years in Perugia and we will certainly return next time we're there.More

Was greeted immediately and allowed to come in before open due to how cold it was outside. Great overall experience and amazing food/wine! I had the Poached Egg with white truffle added and Tagliatellino with Black Truffle. Two great dishes!! You can add truffle to...any dish that does not already have it included! Highly recommend while in Perugia!More

I had high hopes of this restaurant and was really looking forward to the meal. Sadly we were quite disappointed. I booked the table and although I am English and have an English name, I speak a reasonable amount of Italian as does my wife....Of our two companions, one is Italian and the other is a fluent speaker. However, the staff assumed we were English-only speaking tourists. They went into a very hard sell on the truffle dishes and the truffle menu, clearly trying to up sell as much as they could. Our starters were good but not amazing, but it was the main courses that let them down. Two of us had duck and two pork. It was nicely flavoured and well presented but on freezing cold plates which meant the food itself was cold by the time we finished it. We were so disappointed we left without having dessert. When we went to pay the bill the manager clearly realised we spoke Italian and seemed somewhat embarrassed. This had the potential to be a great meal, but we will not return.More

The place is inspired by a truffle merchant and you will find the best here. Great location off the main plaza, nothing fancy but very nice, great service and tartufo both white and black, with wines to match.

Good food and service, lovely ambience & attention to detail! Book ahead if you love truffles! Both black and white truffles at hand to top up your choice of food. I had the tagliolini with black truffle, very generous portion; followed by the slow cooked...pork belly absolutely delicious! EnjoyMore

In an atmospheric cellar tucked in a small side street sits this gem of a restaurant that specializes in truffled dishes. Amazing flavors! Our waiter delighted us with a tantalizing sniff of the fresh truffles that were about to be shaved onto our bruschetta and...pasta dishes. Even dessert was a truffled delight! Don’t miss this place!!More

We were planning our trip to perugia to attend the chocolate festival (bit of a disappointment if your wondering) and my partner found this place a few weeks in advance so we booked a lunch for 4 people. Everything was perfect. Very clean, even the...restrooms. Food was cooked and prepared oerfectly. Very polite staff. I would recommend and also return.More

Went to this restaurant at the recommendation of our hotel, they where right, Al Tartufo should be on the list for any visit to Perugia. The team at the restaurant where great, they explained the dishes and had a good knowledge of local wines to...match. I’ll certainly go again.More
