We first visited this restaurant on a rainy Saturday last May, and returned yesterday for lunch. Still wonderful! Great location by the lake, ample parking, very clean and pleasant dining area, tables inside and outdoors. The menu is varied and offers many good choices. We...started with the antipasto Toscano; I followed with the mixed grill, the other three members of the family had seafood. Everything was superb: ample portions and perfectly prepared, prices fair. House wine, both red and white, was good. Service was excellent: attentive, courteous, friendly. Because of my wife's work schedule, we are not able to come here much during the tourist season, but in the winter we plan on having lunch here frequently. A wonderful experience, much recommended. We had a bicycle trip and we had to stop in this restaurant since the children were hungry. We had pasta with sea food and salad. Both were just ok..nothing special. The service wasn't so good.

Stopped here on our way to Tuscany. Worst meal I have ever had in Italy and have been coming here for decades. Nothing was homemade or made with love. You could tell it all came out of a packet or the freezer. We love our...food and left most of it as almost inedible. Really disappointing.More

We have passed this place a hundred times, but never stopped. Today, 18 May, it was lunchtime, raining and we decided to see why the parking lot was always full. It was a very good experience. The ambience quite pleasant, we were greeted, treated in...a friendly and courteous manner, and immediately seated. The waiter was very helpful discussing the menu. We had the antipasto toscano and the grigliata mista and both were superb and abundant portions. The house wine was good. Service was excellent. Prices fair. Unfortunately, because of the weather, we could not enjoy the view, but we live only 30 minutes away, in Chiusi since 2001, so we will return regularly and frequently. I have just read other reviews here, and am surprised at some negative comments. Thanks to the staff for a very pleasant lunch, we'll return in a week or so, just look for the retired American with the beard and his Filipina wife!More

What can I say!? It was really nasty. Defrosted seafood, a steak that was made of chewing-gum, vegetables without taste All food made without a heart Sconsigliassimo

We didn't pre book but were made immediately welcome🙂 we had lunch, and ordered Pizzas, they looked delicious but even better, they were the most delicious pizzas we have ever had! Service was friendly, and prompt and we will definitely return to try out some...other dishes! Local wine was quality and went down well with our meal!🍷More

We had booked in advance but they could not give us an outside table on a very warm evening (although an Italian couple who arrived soon after were found one) and no fans were turned on inside. The service was very poor and we sat...for 15 mins without anyone coming to see to us or offer water at least, despite many attempts to get the waiter's attention. The dish on the menu we had come for, grilled tuna, was not available, but there was no apology. I reluctantly ordered swordfish, which was raw and had to be sent back. Again, no apology; sarcasm, rather. When it eventually came back, it was without the cutlery they'd taken with it. We had to find cutlery in a sideboard and help ourselves. Veal in lemon sauce was tough veal with no lemon sauce, just a slice of lemon. When we asked for the bill - twice - it did not come and we eventually had to go to the reception area to pay. They gave the impression they were making no effort, at least towards tourists, in high holiday season, although actually the Italian family on the next table fared little better, with dishes not turning up and a very long wait. There were only three waiters for a huge indoor and outdoor restaurant. And on top of all this, the prices are significantly higher (18 euros for a slice of swordfish without accompaniments) than in the restaurants in the centre of the old town at Castiglione del Lago! Definitely not recommended for ambience, food, prices or service - or attitude.More

My wife and I stumbled upon this place during our honeymoon while out on an aimless drive while staying in the Tuscany region. The place looked inviting from the outside so we stopped in. Probably the least touristy place I visited during my time in...Italy - the rare place that actually seems surprised when somebody comes in who can barely speak the language. The calzone we ordered was the largest one I have ever seen, and the linguine with clams was delicious. Food sizes are large! The prices were extraordinary as well - probably a result of the place catering to locals and not tourists. Very homey feel, and was filled with families out for a Sunday lunch. You will find higher end food in Italy, but for a down to earth, more authentic vibe (at least from my view), this was a nice establishment to check out.More
