This place is a little put out of the way, down the stairs at Piazza d'Italia, left and right further down the hill (past the altromercato restaurant). It is small, very intimate. Almost a 50-sh feeling. Service is very friendly. The food was good, the pasta I had is certainly worth returning for. Bathroom is fun to see, but might... More

The relatively small space, the warm service by host Aldo, and the home-like cooking of his Massima make this Locanda into a nice alternative for touristic, crowded and/or noisy places. My wife and I tried it out for lunch and then spent an delightful evening there with a group of ten friends. Warmly recommended!

The staff were great and very friendly. The antipasto was outstanding with more than I could eat.. cheeses( pecorino) and another; various carne e salumi..... and the umbricellici with tartuffi? I have never tasted pasta like it- the wine was a nice house wine and the meal was 30Eur. I suspect a markup for tourists but who doesnt? That taste... More

I love this osteria and eat here regularly: they serve local fresh home made food which is consistently superb and very typical of Umbria and Perugian cooking. It's great value the staff are friendly and helpful: it is the kind of place you can go in, not look at the menu and just ask for the chef to bring out... More

Was a bit surprised by previous reviews of the restaurant, as this restaurant had come highly recommended by friends. It's not the biggest of restautants (20-30 people max) but the food is superb and not over expensive. Can recommend the penne with cream, tartufo and salsiccia. The house wine (white) is really good. The restaurant itself takes a bit of... More

Disappointing small portions for the price. Surprising bill of 76 euro for two persons for still hungry. Waiter recommended wine instead house wine... Turned out to be 18 euros without warning. Recommend caution

We stayed in Perugia for a week, and dined out every night. This was our only disappointing meal, and the most expensive. The owner, who showed us to our table, was surly and unwelcoming. There were few other diners, and all were tourists like ourselves - not a promising sign. Service was slow, although the waiter was pleasant. The only... More

So I speak Italian but I spoke in English with my partner. We saw a board in front where they were offering an entire lunch for 12e (these are made for lunch, for workers here in Italy, but applicable on all of the people, ofc.). Being on a low budget we entered and there was an owner and a waitress... More

Mediocre food which was made worse by the waiter leaving it to go cold at the kitchen pass in full view. I nearly got up and fetched it myself. I had ordered a glass of prosecco for aperitivo but they dont have it for some reason, just like they dont have *ice* (to go with a Fernet Branca digestivo). Service... More

Surprised the bill for 2x Menu Perugino @15 Euros plus water and wine came to 50 euros (oh and we don't take cards). Food was good, but cover charge was added and 40 Euros was what we expected to pay, not 50.
