We would never have stopped at this restaurant if it had not been recommended by a local person. For a start, you would easily drive by without noticing it (it's up a slip road off the main road though we'll signposted) and then when you get there you think...did they really mean this place?? You go past the bar to... More

If you drive by and step out your car do not hesitate to enter the taverna! It looks a bit shabby.... Just take your seat and order one of their simple authentic Umbrian meals. We had their pastas, beef tagliata (balsemico and also the oregano). You will get it together with their famous and delicious pizza style bread. All fairly... More

We stopped by twice in a week. The place gets busy, with mainly locals. Food is really good and service is attentive, and working hard to sell more courses than you planned. But as it is cooked well, you shouldn't complain.

Surly waiter, felt we didn't order enough, kept pushing us to order more. One of us got food poisoning as we left the restaurant. May have been good at other times. I save my gambling for Los Vagas not at restaurants.

Three words: Torta al testo. It's the traditional Umbrian flatbread, sliced lengthwise and filled with greens, or cheese, or salumi, or mushrooms, or a combination. Pastas are good, too. Drink the house wine--you're in Umbria, this is not a posh restaurant. Listen to the conversations around you. You'll see construction workers on a break, seniors riding around. It's where Perugians... More

The décor leaves a lot to be desired, very 1970's granny style, but don't let that put you off. Due to the very warm welcome, and excellent cooking, and exceptional service, it really grows on you. We went twice in one week and both times enjoyed the evening very much. The tagliatelle with truffle was truly memorable, the very best... More

A fabulous meal 15 minutes from Gubbio .whereas the decor is a bit 1950 this restaurant is unpretentious but excellent. The specialty torte testa sandwiches are very good but the pasta tagliatelle tartufo and with goose sauce were fabulous , the meat mains were good , the sautéed pepper excellent as was the chicory. Deserts followed but beware the local... More

I was recommended to come to this place by a local hotelier. I was not at all disappointed. It is a simple place, nothing fancy, but then again neither are the prices. Just good honest well prepared Italian food. I had the best tagliatelle porcini I have ever had at this place. Buon appetito.
