Very good food in a quaint setting. We had a mushroom tagliatelle, a trofie pesto, a chicken and fried potatoes. All were very good.

everything was simply delicious. from the mains to the desserts, we absolutely enjoyed our lunch. a cozy and humble interior, the food was satisfyingly well made. i recommend trying all three porcini dishes - tagliatelle with porcini, grilled porcini, and fried porcini. the deserts were...so good too, we had the panna cotta con frutti di bosco and the creme caramel. Delicious!!!More
We had a wonderful dinner here. Everything was excellent, particularly the truffle fettuccine, it was the best I’ve ever had! Service was friendly and efficient. Price was reasonable. I absolutely recommend this restaurant if you want to eat authentic Tuscan cuisine!
I went with my family two night ago and the food was delicious. The service was wonderful specially from the Argentinan waiter, he was very polite and funny. The fries are delicious and I highly recommend the pici di cinta. Si por casualidad viese esto,...me llamo Leonor y ha sido un placer conocerteMore
Found this L’osteria whilst walking around Siena. Considering the amount of tourists in this town, this restaurant was full of locals. Had a simple pasta - delicious. Excellent value for money
Close to our B&B, we settled on this spot out of several other restaurants. We weren't disappointed. Cozy interior, friendly waitstaff, we were both quite happy with the house wine and our meal choices...pasta with wild boar sauce for my friend and pasta with fresh...tomatoes and garlic for me. We returned the next night and my friend had rocket salad with veal slices, and I had pasta with pumpkin, again both tasty dishes. We were quite happy with this find.More
We had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. It was very empty, no Italians. We had soup off of the specials list. Nothing spectacular, hearty soup thickened with bread. I also ordered a salad and it came with the requisite oil and vinegar so you...can dress it yourself. The salad looked great. However, after I dressed it it had the distinct smell of acetone (like nail polish remover). I tried to ignore it but I finally had to stop eating it. Never had this happen before. Something was definitely off. In any case, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place.More
Perfect meals (we ate twice, early December 2018). Food is authentic Tuscan. I like bruschetta with cheese, pears and honey, and also pasta with wild boar sauce. The cacio e pepe is also superb, with al dente pici pasta. We shared pollo fra diavolo (grilled...chicken with anchovy sauce). You might want to make a reservation to be certain to be seated, locals fill the place during peak hours, making for a perfect dining atmosphere. Service is excellent. Prices are quite reasonable.More
We were given a recommendation for this restaurant by our hotel. We did read the reviews that they are not nice to customers that don’t speak Italian, however they came so highly recommended we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, there was...not a SINGLE customer and every table had a reserved sign. We stood looking at the menu for about 5 minutes and the older gentleman who we assumed was the owner would not acknowledge presence. When we inquired if we could have a table, we were rudely told “Open yes, Food no” A few hours later when we walked by there was not a single person inside the restaurant and only a few people outside. Out of all the different places we have visited, this is the first time we have ever been treated this way.More
We ate here on our first night in Siena. I liked it. Food was good. I especially liked the meat and cheese antipasto. My husband and I shared the steak. It was huge. It was also unevenly cooked, but the kitchen recooked the extra rate...parts. Good ambiance except for the cars whizzing by. Service was good. Inexpensive.More
First visit in six years the food was good typically Tuscan in its simplicity - devilled chicken and chicken with tarragon and lemon followed by tiramisu and pannacotta. Service was colourful and the bill was c 25 euros each for the meal with 1/4 of...white and red wine and sparkling waterMore
This restaurant was a favourite or ours after four or five visits in as many years, we loved the ambiance, the wild boar pasta and the young but very palatable house red wine. Our latest experience was disappointing to say the least. Whilst the pasta...was still tasty the portion was quite small, the bread was stale and the wine was barely drinkable and could not be finished. We were made to feel unwelcome without a reservation despite the fact that the place was empty and the service throughout was off hand and unfreindly. On last experience this restaurant would have rated four stars but we are now struggling to give it one. No chance we will go back again.More
The L‘Osteria dei Rossi has been a nice catch today. The menu offers three to four courses and additionally seasonal and daily offers.
I took ribollita and fresh porcini tagliatelli, both tasty. We emptied a bottle of vino Nobile di Montepolciano, very good with food. Book your table in advance, the place is small and popular. Service could be better, meaning faster/smoother. Quite common maladie in Italie?
Very nice place, as if you were in 50's... The food is authentic delicious, authentic pici chingiale... house wine is excellent. A good dinner and staff is awesome. I would come this place once per week if it was in my town.
