Fantastic experience. Restaurant full of locals, we wanted to eat in a place used by locals so as to have an authentic experience. They were very busy, but welcoming. Food simple but tasty.

We ate here three times in two weeks after stumbling upon it on our fourth night and we've stayed longer we would have been back. This Osteria claims to be the oldest in Siena and there is an article from the Times on the wall mentioning it pre-eurozone. Don't go here if you want a menu or an extensive wine... More

Very popular with local people. Went in a group of 7 and they looked after us really well. They did us a mix of meat, cheese, veg and pasta and it was fantastic.

Went to this Osteria for lunch as we had walked past it a couple of times and the antipasto plates had looked good. When we arrived the tables inside, of which there are not many, were full and there were three separate tables outside that each seated 6 people that were also full. Staff were also setting up another table... More

This is a very small, cosy restaurant, with limited food options. However, the options you have are just amazing. This is where locals choose to eat so it is a great atmosphere to get the taste of Italy.

Small, local place with a soul. We were the only foreigners that night. Enjoyed a lot Italian character of the place. Nice service and great food, too. As Osteria, not sophisticated, but as for the type, great. Started with a plate of local meat (salami, prosciutto, sausage, and cheeses, including permesan and some localities). For the 2nd course, we took... More

What a perfect little cozy restaurant tucked away in this beautiful city! We had read about this place in a Rick Steves guidebook and decided to try it out, we were not disappointed. There is no menu. You walk into the restaurant and at the counter they have an assortment of veggies, meats, cheeses, etc. You can point to what... More

This is a small little restaurant in Siena. They didn't have a ton of options, but when we were there one of the options was some kind of pasta with bacon and it was SO delicious. This was the best pasta dish I had on our whole trip to Italy. I really don't even know what it was, but it... More

You really need to either know some Italian to eat here or be comfortable with pointing to what you want. The choices are a "cold" plate which consists of various sausages/cheeses and salads right in front of you (making the pointing part easy) or hot dishes of the day. The day we enjoyed lunch here there were two different toppings... More

We had two delicious lunches here. Each time we ordered a pasta dish to share as well as a spread of the prepared dishes, meats and cheeses on display. Affordable, delicious food and helpful and quick service. We ate rather early, but this place fills up quickly. Try a spread of everything!
