We stopped here for pizza at lunch time. We felt that the service was all a bit rushed and that they just wanted you in and out without giving you time to relax. It is also a very touristy restaurant because it is right on the Plaza del Campo. The food was average and the wine was ok but the... More

Were choosing a place for a lunch. Good location. Good food! We had pici, lasagne a main dish - "tagliata" and a hot chocolate cake for a dessert. Quite expensive. Service staff nice but seemed very tyred.

This sidewalk restaurant is located at the Piazza di Campo. We were seated and given the menu. It was very difficult to make up our mind what to order. We finally ordered Oso Buco. Finally our food arrived. On the plate was a portion of beans which looked like from a can and on the side was something that looked... More

Sitting on the perimeter of Piazza del Campo, this ristorante has great views of the whole piazza and the public palace opposite. The prices are reasonable although the portion wasn't large. You'd be better off having an entree and main, before gelato of course. Sit with a bottle of the house red wine, and contemplate the details of the palace,... More

Very pricey. Two pizzas, a salad, one glass of wine was €40 for lunch. Disappointed that when I ordered a glass of their house wine they removed the large wine glasses that were on the table and brought a small glass back with the wine. Pizza was good, but not worth the money. Agree with previous comment of a tourist... More

Our most expensive meal in Italy! Between the €4.50 for the still water and the €3 per person cover charge, this quickly became our most expensive meal for good but not great food. Save some money and get a panini and expresso and sit on il campo and soak it all in. (Full disclosure, all restaurants on il campo may... More

We arrived in Siena early in the morning stopped here to eat breakfast. It seemed only a couple of the restaurants in the piazza offered breakfast. The food was average. Our server was nice. Most important, though, was the lovely view across the piazza. I'm sure the prices are higher because of the location, but we enjoyed sitting here and... More

I was part of a group of 18 that ate lunch at Alla Speranza in Siena on the Piazza Il Campo in mid October of this year. A wonderful experience all around. Attentive staff with exceptional service, an owner/manager that watched over all the time to insure our satisfaction. Food, pizza and salads, along with the vino was the best.... More
