Great spot for a high quality tuscan bite. If you’re lucky enough to grab a stool (less than 10 sitting places available) definitely get it! The host is a kind gentleman, talkative and fun who seems to enjoy slow life and really high quality food&wine....We tried basically everything and left really happy. You can probably be very satisfied even with just a sandwich to go, but our full board of hams and cheese was definitely the best one among the many we tried during our roadtrip. Wine pairing also very good.More

Grazieeeeeeeeee per le parole da voi scritte, un salutone I Mariani
Our stop for a glass of wine and an aperitivo at Gian Franco's shop was by far an highlight of our vacation. The care with which Gian Franco prepared our board was a delight to watch. He was so kind, prepared us a wonderful meal...and explained everything with a lot of humour. Everything tasted great but the cheeses with truffle honey were so good that we took a jar of it home!
We'd recommend this place to everyone!!More

Ma che bellissima recensioneeeeeeeee, grazieeeeeeee è stato un vero piacere ospitarvi, un salutone I Mariani
My wife asked me what my favorite thing about San Gimignano was, and without hesitation I answered Gian Franco's lil shop.
We don't speak the same language, but we had no trouble communicating with Gian Franco. He expresses himself with his facial expressions and hand...gestures. He's good at it.
This is a personal and intimate experience. You'll get to know Gian Franco and he'll get to know you while you enjoy some of the tastiest food you've ever had.
Get the meat and cheese board with your choice of white or red wine. It comes with artisanal Tuscan cured meats and cheeses, pickled mushrooms and tomatoes, truffle infused honey and toasted pieces of bread.
Gian Franco's "Da i' Mariana" was one of the most enjoyable experiences on our trip to Italy. Don't miss it!More
