Pizza was amazing ! We stayed in the center of town for about a week. This is sad to admit - I went here almost every night right before they closed for the evening.
Pizza was always freshly made and the plain cheese twelve inch was only €7 ! I really wish I had access to this place back in the states.

Excellent pizza! Quick to serve it hot, straight from the oven. In a typical Italian style, a few simple ingredients seem to be used yet the taste is magical. Very cheap as well and friendly service.
I am a vegan and I got a simple but delicious marinara pizza and a birra Morreti, which I enjoyed a few steps away from the place, while admiring the views over the tuscan hills.

When in San Gimignano Ricca Pizza is a must stop! The pizza is delicious and the ambience is very welcoming and feels like home. The staff are amazing and full of energy. When we return in the future we will be returning for pizza and memories.

Visited this place twice in September 2022. They have 2 sizes of pizza, one 'gigante' and one 'normale'. First visit we opted for the gigante split with ham and mushroon one side and tuna and onions on the other side. 5 minute walk back home and pizza was pretty good but a little overcooked (I like pizza to be soft and foldable and able to be cut with a knife and fork). The gigante was too much so second visit we opted for a normale size with the same split. Walked home and it was simply burnt, more like a frisbee than a pizza so we ended up throwing it away. If it hadn't been a long walk uphill I would have taken it back. I had to wait quite a while for the second one and noticed that there didn't appear to be a routine time that a pizza is in the oven for. Some are in for a considerably longer time than others? I get it that some people like a "crispy" pizza but surely not so it's like a piece of cardboard.? Overall a disappointment bearing in mind that the most important thing about a pizza after the ingredients is how long it's in the oven? We would have been better to buy a pizza from a supermarket and warm it up ourselves.

How this is rated number 1 I've no idea. Incredibly rude woman serving, we wanted 5 slices margherita and she straight out refused to give us more than 4. She didn't want us in the queue while they made another Margherita. Pizza itself was below average, and too much herbs for kids. Go somewhere else.

I’m not sure why this place has good reviews. The pizza was not authentic Italian pizza. The cook almost forgot to put the prosciutto on the pizza and the taste was bland. If you want good pizza I would not go here.

Two years ago when I tried this pizza on our way through San Gimignano it was the best thing I had ever eaten. I have waited two years to eat it again. The base is delicious and crisp. I had a slice of olive which was a little bland but mom had the salami and it was as good as I remembered. Why a 4* if the pizza was so good? It felt a little hit and miss depending on the flavour you got and the place was over run with flies…

Happy to recommend. Good quality, reasonably priced, super convenient inside the town walls.
Nice change of pace to enjoy a pizza and local bottle of wine (plenty of shops nearby) on the hotel balcony after a few days of restaurant multi course dinners.

Excellent pizza Margherita and salami piccante. Very quick and freshly made as we waited. Always very busy during the day but surprisingly quiet at about 7 pm.

Crunchy pizza, great flavour. Very fast service and not expensive. You can eat there or take away. At dinner time when most crowds have already left the village you get it almost to yourself.

Delicious food, good size for price. The service was good, and had an English menu to help out tourists. Such good variety if you want gourmet or just a simple margarita!
