Fantastic choice on our only night in Piombino before catching the ferry to Elba. Chose the 5 course tasting menu - all excellent and beautifully presented. The highlight for me was the gamberi crude tortellini - lovely fresh and sweet prawns served with tortellini filled...with a fresh soft cheese - delicious. Would definitely recommend.More

We had a great meal, beautiful wine at Al Baccanale. The service was perfect! This was our third time and definitely not the last time.

The restaurant atmosphere was great the service was really good. It was off the main strip. A decent selection of good italian wines.

This place could add 50% to the prices and you'd still be getting a bargain. Still regretting that I didn't do the tasting menu. But whatever you do, tru the squid kebab!

This restaurant proved a refuge for us from noisy streets on St John’s night (La Notte dei Falo). Away from the hubbub, we were seated outside in a quiet piazza under the fine facade of the church of St Antimo. We enjoyed excellent service and...fine seafood with a special regional flavor, all for great value. Our waiter, Walid, guided us through the menu options and the range of dishes. We both opted for a delicious antipasti of scallops (Noce di Capesante - see picture) with crispy prosciutto and melon slices in an almond sauce. For Secondi, we chose Turbot with courgettes and Snapper cooked in salt respectively. On Walid’s advice, we picked a Tuscan white wine to accompany our fish dishes. Antonio Camillo’s Procanico is an “orange wine”, very dry and hazy in appearance, and organically produced by traditional methods. Visitors to Piombino should beat a path to this restaurant for its quiet ambience, the selection of dishes and the care for clients demonstrated by both kitchen and front of house staff. BravoMore

I really liked the atmosphere and serving is great. Delicious food and good vine. The price is a little more expensive compared to the other restaurants at the area. I advise you to try.

My first visit to this restaurant ( again a few meters out of the main street ) was to enjoy the degustation menu. This restaurant is a lttle above the avg on meal price on what I got in Piombino but it was worth every...cent. I took the degustation menu with less dishes and even so I can say it was such an experience. The waiter was clever to suggest a wine by the glass that could handle the different surprise dishes ( yes you don t know what you will take indeed ). I was back because I saw they had 2 dishes with meat ( I was crying for some meat after 3 weeks on seafood ). I got a Picanha with Sangiovese sauce ...absolutely well prepared ...tasty...it seemed the meat had a massage before ...so tender...My congrats to the chef ...by the way the food presentation is topMore

A big party of 9 people had a great evening with a waiter which was very helpful and knew everything about the menu, but also the extensive wine card he knew from top down. The chef was so amazing in his way of building up...the evening. Every dish was so delicate in its own way. But also the whole menu had an amazing run. From start to the end. For this kind of quality and power of the menu it was a bargain. We will return and will recommend the place to all.More

Not only Piombino is one of the best places I like in Italy but they have one of the best restourants I have been into. I had there the best meal ever. Really. The Chef is one of the most polite and humble People I...know but also best cook. Also the waiter was great. He explained us everything (no english menu), told what he would choose to eat. He told what wine to take. Told us that Chef make pasta, bread, desserts by him self. Great, great great! Will come back! Everything was exceptional. Must see and must eat for everybody in Piombino (and in Toscany!)More
