As previous reviews state, this is a wonderful restaurant. We often come to Ponte a Moriano and with a place like this nearby, there's no need to go to Lucca! Highly recommended and we will certainly be back next time we in town.

Nice complimentary prosecco and bruschetta spread with something when we arrived. Delicious red wine (their own blend) that went down very easily. We thought that this was promising. However, all our dishes turned out to be very salty. Saltiest of all the meals we've had...More

Wonderful Italian food presented by an Italian family with all their warmth. Full of locals who know where you can find a good meal! It is a long drive for Lucca, but really it is completely worth it! Grazia!

Give the restaurant a call before you go. Reservation is not mandatory but recommended. You won't risk to not find a table because restaurant is full, in August /September it is high season for Italian restaurants so I'd... More

Antica Locanda Di Sesto is a restaurant located on the right side of the Serchio River,in the outskirts of Lucca. The Building dates back to the 1368, as the marble stone in front of the restaurant says, a period when the local merchants started to build their own country estates, used to relax and chill out in the summer but also to gain business profits. From the XIV Century the village of Sesto was property of the "De Nobili" Family and they had, according to various rumors, 101 farmers working only for them in the village. It is thanks to this powerful family that the "Locanda" was built, and even now you can see the remains of the old building inside the restaurant. *We now offer a free shuttle service from Lucca town centre*
