Disappointing, by no means awful but a real failure to deliver, and our worst dinner in 4 nights in Florence. We'd suggest walking another 2 minutes down the street to Mangiafoco instead. A nice feel about the place when entering, the overseas staff were fine but the one Italian waiter was clearly disinterested in being there and bordering rude throughout... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 28 January 2017 via mobile

Came here for lunch with the family. Delicious starters (the shredded artichoke and grana salad highly recommended) and the pizzas cooked in the wood fired oven were as good as you can get. Trust me - I lived in Italy for three years and I know an excellent pizza when I get one.

We ate here for four nights whilst staying at the Antica Torre round the corner . Food is good, liked the bruschetta, risotto and calzone I had. Also loved the prosecco at a very reasonable 4 Euros a glass.

We made reservations here, or rather, our concierge made reservations for us and we weren't disappointed. It was walking distance from our hotel and we were told the food was delicious and the service outstanding. We are so glad we dined here on our last night in Florence. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and all of our dishes were... More

We picked here because it looked full of Italians rather than tourists, which I try to avoid. We had some house wine which was welcomed after a long day travelling Bruschetta was a touch soggy in the middle but the tomatoes were very juicy. Calzone for my wife which was alright, large in size and quite spicy. I had a... More

We went early in the evening and there were only a few people there. We were seated and served drinks. The menu was inviting. We ordered and when served found our meal to be tasty however ... bruschetta was lacking garlic and the bread soggy, the chicken was very good but the vegetables cool. And they were supposed to be... We popped in here for a late lunch and really enjoyed the pasta we chose from a good selection of items on the menu. It was quiet but the room is beautifully decorated and the wiater very attentive. Both the house wines were very good. A great place for a quick and inexpensive lunch

We had pizze here a couple years ago and returned for an enjoyable lunch. Their tagliatelle della casa was excellent, their mixed grill verdura better than most, and the service was excellent.

Friendly staff, good wine, extraordinary pizza. I like a lot the seafood pasta. Our first night in Florence, a top choice.
