I read recent reviews that used the word "bland" and I sadly ignored them. Perhaps it isn't fair that I've eaten at only @Michelin star restaurants in France and Italty. Do not waste an afternoon or evening here. I ordered the 9 course tasting menu...More

Had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. Had notified the chef four-days in advance of a food allergy of one of our party. Rather than having something to offer to accommodate, the Chef just told us which item they could have - a...More

The first warning is that you shouldn’t walk there – it’s up to the hill and you need to climb there for about 20 min. So the taxi is the best option. It’s in a very nice location at villa Bardini with the beautiful view...More

I had an amazing experience at La Leggenda dei Frati last night (Oct. 2). First, they take reservations for 1 person and serve the tasting menu for 1 person, not usual at all in my solo experience. The food was extremely good, the only suggestion...More

The service is on point with the cost of the meal. We were impressed that the chef came out to greet us and take our order. The food was unique and interesting but not a good as expected considering the cost. However, the liver pate...More

Came here with my wife for our last night in Florence. The chef came out to introduce himself and take our order which helped us feel welcome and made us comfortable. We do not drink alcohol but got the 9 course tasting menu. The service...More

Not easy to find. Personal introduction from Phillipe the chef to introduce the menu and ask about our preferences. Spectacular view over Florence from the balcony above the restaurant after dark 9 course tasting menu. 8 courses were beautifully crafted dishes with salad and herbs...More

Take a taxi (if you can get one - not always easy in the evening in Florence) because it is a 5-10 minute walk up hill from the Ponte Vecchio. The staff were very welcoming and the dinner was served in a friendly way on...More

Amazing 9 course made to order tasting menu accounting for all our preferences. An amazing 4 hour dinner with a personal tour of the museum and grounds afterwards. As others have said, this place deserves another star. The service and preparation was incredible Grazie Chef...More

La Leggenda dei Frati restaurant is located within the museum complex of Villa Bardini in Florence. The 1600s Villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden with agricultural items, ancient olive trees and fruit trees. Here the vegetable garden available to the restaurant, including fountains and waterfalls, a rare example of English style garden, overlooks the city offering an incredible landscape of Florence. In the main porch the elegantly decorated room of the restaurant merges with the cultural side of the museum hosting the works of art of the Galleria Continua of San Gimignano. So the guests will get a complete multi-sensory and cultural experience, emphasizing, together with the excellence of the art, that of the food. The Leggenda dei Frati cooking is innovative, although steeped in the culinary culture of the territory, with particular attention to the research of raw materials and respect for them
