Had to come back here after so many years, by far it's the best gelato in Florence. The vast array of flavors to choose from and all fresh quality. I was really happy to have found this place after a long absence. Worth the trip...to find this local place.More

The best ice creams and sorbets in town. Slightly off the beaten track, and you may experience a queue, but well worth the walk and the wait. Many different flavours to choose from, many varying sizes, but the taste and the quality speaks for itself,...a must for gelato lovers. We went there daily on our stay in Florence👍😊More

We have been enjoying Vivoli's gelato for 40 years. Its quality has remained top tier. I respect that Vivoli has remained true to the quality ingredients and processes that established its reputation. No compromises! No cones! No heaping up the gelato over the top of...the cup! These would be silly if they weren't a reflection of Vivoli's commitment to tradition and substance over gimmickry. Their flavors are seasonal, of course, plus year long standards like dark chocolate and caffe. On our recent 9 day visit to Florence, we went to Vivoli several times after dinner. There was never a long line of mostly tourists, unlike at many newer gelaterias. This is where Florentines go for gelato.More

Love Vivoli's. They have so many flavors and some that you would never expect. I got pear (which was amazing, just like eating a sweet ripe pear) also got cream with orange peel, delicious. They always seem packed, but everybody working there is so calm...and friendly. A must if you are in FlorenceMore

Hands down the best Gelato now as it was when I first tried it in 1995. Don’t care what anyone says!! The Meringue is absolutely heavenly. The staff were just fine, not nasty - Our first stop in Florence!

This was not my favorite gelato place but it wasn't bad. The atmosphere though is very cool - very old timey gelato store.

Extremely unfriendly staff. Especially the grumpy old woman behind the gelato and the woman behind the bar. They’re welcoming their guests. Snarl at you, and no “thank you” or “goodbye”, nothing. The icecream is terrible as well. It’s barely frozen. And had the texture of...whipped cream that was kept in the freezer for half an hour. I’d recommend people to choose one of the many good gelato places in Florence and skip this oneMore

This place is an absolute scam and an insult to Italian ice cream. The ice cream is completely tasteless and the employees are extremely arrogant and rude. It’s better to walk by this place!

A unique experience in Florence, Vivoli is the site of one of the few functioning ‘wine windows’ in the city. More than 150 of theses aperitivo apertures dating from 1550 are springing back to life, allowing the same social distancing practiced when serving wine during...the height of the plague in 1637. If you ask nicely and it’s not too crowded they might even pass your gelato through.More
