We have been here twice. First time was a lovely sunny day and we had cakes and coffee outside, both very nice with friendly speedy service. We enjoyed it there and decided to go back, but the second time was a colder day so we elected to eat in the small dining room. Service was a bit slow, but the... More

Been travelling through Italy for 2 weeks and this place is by far the worst place we've eaten at. Didn't think it was possible to get bad pizza in Italy until we ate here. Tasted like cheap frozen pizza. Wife could not stomach her ham sandwich

After seeing the Pitti Palace, my wife and I stopped here for a quick lunch. As it was raining we sat inside, which was a small dinning room, with seating for about 20 with a lot of charm. We both had Panninis (for a very reasonable 4 euros each) that were quite good and filling for lunch. I had a... More

Great location for snacks and drinks. The place was buzzing each time passed so we felt the need to stop and have a beer or prosecco. Very nice pleasant staff, great to chat with and find out local useful information.

We waited waiter for a long long time, ordered wine and panini. Panini would have been good, IF It wouldn't Be badly burned. Wine was ok. Great location but service and food would have been better.

We stopped here on our walk to Pitti P--needed some wine after day's train ride from 5T. Beppi from Brazil waited on us with a flourish. He was great! Wine list by glass limited but ok. (5E per glass.) Free bread, cheese, ham sandwich hors d'oeuvres very good. Spent a very pleasant hour relaxing and watching people and drinking. It's... More

I see the other reviews about the food, but I'm concentrating on the ambiance and drink service as I have no frame of reference for the food. When sat, you are immediately greeted by kind servers. We came back 4 different days for afternoon proseccos, only. You are brought a complimentary side of either chips or peanuts. The owner/manager....not sure... More

We ate here on our last day in Florence. Even though our meal was small, the service was fairly quick and the prices fair. We didn't have any dessert, but they looked incredible.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
